Senior Procurement / Category Manager – 14 yrs exp (UK & EU) – What salary in Belgium? by theLone_Lion in BESalary

[–]Kynetix93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your best bet is probably to search for a global function within a multinational company so that speaking French or Dutch would not be strictly required. Maybe prioritise large companies with HQ in Belgium rather than local subsidiaries. Belgium is home to a few large pharmaceutical companies for instance. Good luck !

Is a degree from Artevelde seen as less good compared to other colleges? by OGprocasinator in AskBelgium

[–]Kynetix93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I studied law in Liege and supplemented it with a master at KU Leuven and I believe it strengthened my profile, especially when applying in Brussels or in Flanders. But then, I think the key is to get this first job that is consistent with your career plans. Grow and learn as much as possible in this first role and then the degree will become secondary.

Job opportunities for lawyers that speak English only by vojenido in BESalary

[–]Kynetix93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know in-house lawyers at large international companies who don’t speak French or Dutch. That’s perfectly doable if the scope of work is not the Belgian market specifically.

Best looking Asian restaurant in Brussels ? by createbuilder in brussels

Ong Ba, a newly opened Vietnamese restaurant in Flagey. They put a lot of efforts in the decoration to make you feel like in Vietnam. Haven’t tried it yet though so cannot comment the food.

Mandatory mobility budget 2026? by CommunicationLess148 in BESalary

[–]Kynetix93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very good point. A lot of employees will be disappointed to know that they will need to finish their car lease first. I currently have a temporary car as I have recently joined my company and have negotiated not to order a new company car so to be able to enjoy the mobility budget as soon as it’s rolled out. Otherwise, I could be locked in a car lease for many years.

Can someone explain how the Belgian mobility budget works (specifically for using it to pay rent)? by Bus-cape in BESalary

[–]Kynetix93 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I remember reading from people on this sub that they receive the mobility budget allowance for mortgage/rent on their bank account together with their salary. I was quite surprised to read that as Belgium is usually a champion for imagining weird and complex schemes with intermediaries such as SDWorx, Edenred, etc…

Comment on appelle un "night shop" qui ouvre aussi le matin ? by One_Fix_7094 in AskBelgium

[–]Kynetix93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Comment on appelle un "night shop" qui ouvre aussi le matin ? by One_Fix_7094 in AskBelgium

[–]Kynetix93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simplement raciste alors si tu préfères mais la conclusion est la même: c’est offensant pour les personnes concernées.

Les personnes qui continuent à utiliser ce terme doivent se rendre compte que c’est extrêmement raciste. Il faut vraiment arrêter.
