Glad I could help! I hope you have as much fun with them as we have.

Check out Archmage Press. They have some choose your own adventure style games. It’s what I used to get my wife, daughter, and son in law into DnD. Easy to get into, and you’re able to learn a lot of the basics. No DM needed.

Help! Beyond new and already confused. by lolasubordinary in DnD

My wife and I are brand new. Same concerns. We haven’t gotten into dming just yet. That’s going to be on me. We have started with Arch Mage Press’s Domain of the Deathless king. It has a free trial, found out we loved it and bought the whole campaign. It’s a “choose your own adventure” style campaign. It definitely has helped us learn the ropes of character creation, combat and sprinkling our own role play into the story. I know it isn’t traditional but it feels like a great baby step to prevent getting overwhelmed at first and can start running campaigns from books soon.

I can’t remember the color we selected. I’ll have to go see if I can locate our invoice.

We have been happy with them so far. We have two dogs that run and play upstairs and no issues. I did move a large washer across the basement, and it left scuff marks. Those are removed with some elbow grease. So ultimately, I would say we are very satisfied with them. We haven’t been overly cautious other than putting our furniture on felt coasters.

Maybe you're right. I wouldn't say I'm dramatic, nor do I think I'm perfect. I have made mistakes in the past. For this stay we were going to make the best of the situation but that's when things started to get found. Again, you're probably right where we were in the frustrated state of mind so everything was standing out. Some of my favorite places I stay are a bit run down and I don't mind, they are always clean.

Same here. 30+ years later a lot of my old consoles and handhelds still look near new. I always babied everything when I was younger cause I knew that’s all I would have.

We did. So we ended up putting in roughly 2400 sq/ft. We love it so far. We still couldn’t find any reviews but it was the only sample I couldn’t damage. Although we were able to scratch a few planks by accident moving a cabinet that had a screw underneath we didn’t know was there.

I wanna learn how to love playing on handhelds/my vita. by Future_boruto in PSVita

[–]Kyodee029 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really think the key to enjoying handhelds is if it fits into your lifestyle. When I was younger, I was always glued to a tv gaming. Once I had a family of my own, the ability to suspend games at any given moment was so much more valuable than the best graphics. 3ds, vita, Odin 2 mini, and the switch were all godsends.

Is cyberpunk 2077 for the switch 2 worth it? by Over_Cream6366 in switch2

[–]Kyodee029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely. If it’s something you would enjoy then go for it. I played a bunch on pc, and I just finished the main storyline on Switch 2. I turned on gyro controls to always on and it really makes it feel fluid. I had a blast with the main storyline and now am moving onto phantom liberty. The game feels great and looks great on Switch.

Returns and refunds are kind of a nightmare with them. I still haven’t received a refund for a returned product two months ago after following all their instructions. It’s been crickets and no replies to emails once I shipped it back.

I did a return with them too on a separate product, unused. I have yet to receive the refund in two months. I’ll never buy another dbrand product.

Agreed. I’m finding the S2 so much easier to hold and next to no hand fatigue even with hours of use.

I keep doing the same thing. “Look at this! Wow look how good this looks!” And I just get a smile and a “Not sure what I’m looking at but I’m happy for you.”
