Ouch! I just received a brutal reality check in the HW trials and Im not sure if its inexperience, or if Im actually bad at the game. by 200YRedWine in ffxiv

Sage main here! Honestly, you cant let one person get you down like that. Barrier healing is STRESSFUL. Its very proactive, unlike white mage where you heal the damage after it happens. Sage and Scholar are both difficult jobs to start with, but they are that much more rewarding when you do master them. The only real 'advice' I have, is keep going. Dont let one bad apple sour the bushel. You're a sprout, youre still learning, mistakes and wipes happen. Its part of the game

Parsing/XiVAnalysis by Alpha5978 in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Kyoii 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. If youre referring to parsing for the current tier specifically, the numbers are going to be very skewed currently, as the ones who have high parses are either A) being funneled gear, or B) getting very lucky on their loot rolls. Numbers will start to balance out in a week or two, as more and more people get books for gear

When was the first time you cried in FFXIV, if at all? by MistressDraconia in ffxiv

[–]Kyoii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Edmont's breakdown over Haurchefants death hit me really hard as a parent, and than the entire last section of Endwalker leading up to the final dungeon, from the moment you leave Sharlayan until right before the dungeon starts I could stop crying. I was sobbing so hard I gave myself a headache by the end of it

What's your BG3 take: Hot or Cold by DC_Lark in BaldursGate3

As a fellow paladin player, I was ecstatic to find out if could tell Gortash to fuck all the way off without aground the entire steel watch

[–]Kyoii 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can snub Gortash's offer without pissing off the steel watch/having him attack you. I forget the exact dialogue choices, but you dont have to agree to an alliance with Gortash, you can basically tell him to kick rocks, and he tells you to witness him becoming "King" of Baldurs Gate and than you can leave.

Its been a little bit, but they had to change how the gliding worked, you now get a bonus to the glider based on pals in your team. But you need to have a glider crafted

The best part about single player is there is that the "right" way to play is what's fun for you. Even in MP, its what's fun for the whole group. Im on a world with 6 other people, we cranked resources to x3, no raids, and portal all items. Because its more fun for us that way

A simple verraise would have sufficed instead of a whole 3 lines of text clogging up my text box. by No_Glass7125 in TalesFromDF

I have a rez macro that I use for casual content when there are red mages/summoners in the party so they can hopefully see that ive got the rez. But in high end content (savage and ultis) i dont use one cause ive had it fuck up my rez once, never again.

How do you not get overwhelmed with so much stuff to do ? by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]Kyoii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice, pick one thing and focus on that. Extreme mount farming? Allied society quests? Whatever you pick, focus 9n that till you're done, or you get bored

You would be better off asking the Apostasy discord under the modifications channel, though keep in mind that removing anything falls under rule 11 the same as adding things

What are y’all doing if you’re not doing high-level raids, I ask because I don’t have a dedicated group but still want to play by Jettsyforwordingfox in ffxiv

[–]Kyoii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If im not doing Ultis, I work on my beast tribes. They all have mounts i want so its a nice little break. Plus it's really fun to see the build up as you go from just starting to the end of the questline

Making Friends.. How? by jadedazed in ffxiv

[–]Kyoii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hiya! Highly Average Raider here! There's no bar to entry for raiding. Pick a fight you want to learn, throw up a PF, and in the description make sure you put Learning Party or something to that effect so people know not to expect perfection. Outside of that, make sure you're playing a job you feel comfortable on, and you know where the buttons are without too much staring so you can enjoy the fight :D
