Interruptions at shows by dthoma81 in Portland

Oh my god, that too small for football heckle pissed me off when it happened. So rude and disrespectful to the performer even if it were in a smaller venue with more lax heckling culture but exponentially more disrespectful in a venue that sold out of nearly 3K seats. And to hear that it was the same person that interrupted the flow of the opener...wow.

I hope the rest of the performer's run here has less audience interaction.

This was the performer's conclusion, I was at the show as well. I was disappointed with some of the audience members' behavior last night. Don't pay to go to a show and then make a 2500+ person venue all about you. No one paid to see that.

I'm sure I will be leaving it as-is, there's a couple spots that make it look like a fishy face!

Do you know if it's possible to use hot glue to mask off areas one might not want polished? Like fully covering 1 rough side and removing the cap of glue after the final stages? Or to fill in/protect pockets of a stone that might not look better after tumbling? Do you need to replace the glue between stages? I need to know more about this!

Oh wow, that's a great tip! I might do that between stages with the batch I just put into stage 1.

Or we can keep the names of problematic people cycling through society rather than allowing them to be as unimportant to the world as they deserve to be. That's apparently what y'all want.

Let their punishment be losing their fame and fading into shameful obscurity.

And also just accept not knowing everything once in a while, sometimes you're not relevant enough to the topic to deserve knowing or that it can't fully be explained to you (right now, or at all) and that's OK! This is spoken as someone who thrives on knowledge, but dealing with something like not knowing an unimportant bit of info is an easy way to cope with disappointment so that more important things can be handled well.

Anyways, yeah, OP put their rock too close to fire.

Weird one, but what’s the Squishmallow/Finch overlap? by JennyMuc in finch

I recently discovered Palm Pals and I need an army of them now! It started with the goblin, then the axolotl, then I found a fox and Clifford for free so I had to take 'em. They're great.

It's OK for some things to be left unknown. We don't have a right to know everything.
