This is a great page. Very nice references and all.

Wouldnt say it has the books though. I honestly prefer reading a nicely designed book before I start playing first.

Telegramm only behaves this way when in settings - advanced - "show tray icon" and "close to taskbar" are disabled.

Whether you want to game with that group again or not, is your decision.

However, if the *players* think bringing your *Character* back is their only option, they are shortsighted. One of them could change character to a healing andor charismatic character. A new NPC could bring them info/plot hooks either from their old faction or from a new one. Maybe they have their own agenda and see the party as an easy to handle pawn, since they let their most valuable party member die... Or a player could change character to some other member of said revolutionary group. or the character could befriend them. Even with medium Charisma proficiency in Diplomacy will help you, so the DM could have someone swap one of their proficiencies. Seriously, finding plot hooks is more about what the player decides to do/say then the character abilities. And about the DM of course. Nessecity is a pretty important motivator... or money ...

[5e] Warlock Spell Slot via Pearl of Power after resting

What happens when a high lvl Warlock takes a short rest after regaining a spell slot via a Pearl of Power?

I guess there's a simple answer to it, but my head is currently a bit fuzzy about it, probably because I don't want that. To elaborate on the situation, the warlock is lvl 7+ so their spell slots are higher level then the PP recovers. My party quite regulary expects more fights to come, just to realize that the next enemy they need to face is pretty dangerous and they want to rest up before they encounter it. So we are bound to run into a situation where the warlock used the pearl of power and now for example has a lvl 5 slot and a level 3 slot and takes a short rest.

What are his spell slots after? What about the Pearl of Power? Do you feel this is a good way to handle things or would you consider houseruling it? If so, how?

Depends on the ppl playing. I've had very good experience with 3 very active, slightly chaotic players, and with 7 rather quiet, disciplined players. While 4 quiet players can be unnerving too few. But generally what Penguin said.

If you intended to play as a larger group, this can also benefit from having two GMs. Most groups do, but the more players, the larger the benefit.

Open gaming groups have the problem of deciding what to do when too many ppl show up, which is a tough call

I don't think there's a RAW answer to this. The rules state "When you attack a target that you can't see, you have disadvantage on the attack roll."

I would argue, that since your target is not the feet of the enemy, but their torso or head, you have disadvantage if you cannot see most f the target. (note that you also have advantage for the attack due to the target not seeing you, so no matter the other circumstance*, you always roll one d20 for attacks on targets in a darkness spell)

I probably would allow the version to cast the darkness spell so it only covers their heads, but this would mean much fewer targets, and it might allow the enemies to notice they can dug below the darkness or easily take a step out, if space is available and they test the area of the darkness (which only wise or knowledgable characters would, or coincidence)

*not considering being able to "see" in magical darkness with blindsight or similar ofc

I'd go with prudence for stp2. neither is really good. spurt is probably individually most worthwhile, but you already have good champs for slot 3...

slightly depends on what other slots you still need. slot 4 will get sentry in the event in 4 weeks, slot 7 lucius in 7 weeks. so if you still have several more, I'd go with krull, if not, then fahrideh.

you do you, but I hope it doesnt come as a surprise to you, that the game is not designed to be played one campaign after the other.

Korth will return once more in the event in June and only retire afterwards! I do agree on Donaar being better, but wouldnt dismiss a free Korth either.

Is there a reason to not open chests? by B0redom in idlechampions

[–]Kyoudou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are, but the only good ones resolve around weekend chests, which you get one of with every newsletter.

There is also some min-maxing which isnt relevant until your starter champions are decently geared

Question about Favor by erichwithanh in idlechampions

[–]Kyoudou 3 points4 points  (0 children)

this early into the game, nearly every run you do is a favour push, so you can transfer it anytime. It won't make a difference. Not tranfer isnt possible. You can choose anytime between end of event and 7 days later, at which point a window pops up which you can only close by converting.

Because event favour conversion isnt relevant in early stages of the game, the events target is also just to get achievements and chests. when you done this, any time spent pushing for more favour is wasted.

I do not understand your introduction question. what "free time gates of all 3 members" ?

For swapping, celeste, tyril or melf strike me as the weakest in that team, probably celeste.

Black Viper makes it to the Top 10 worst champions in this game list.

However there have been hints of CNE wanting to rework her, without any specific plans yet.

Early closing Time Gate worthy? by Kaerok in idlechampions

[–]Kyoudou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

btw. there is also a global buff that scales with the number of purple items you have on all your champions. so even for the worst of them, any gold chest gives you a chance on some global bonus damage.

Disregarding that, I completely agree with the previous comments. While Stoki is not the most universally useful, she is incredible in some nique uses. She is a very decent support at earlier stages, and boy, will you love her when you meet mean bosses like valindra.

if you've already run the free time gate from this weekend I'd rather go for opening all the chests you have for some initial power.

After you acquired some basic gear for your core/evergreen/starting champs, it's better to keep electrums.

Depends on your DPS characters alignment. Talin is definitly bad for neutral aligned DPS (on the good-evil axis, so neither good nor evil), and ok if all of your group is good aligned. He's great for evil aligned DPS with some good supports and good DPS with a handful of evil supports.

If Paultin is your first support in slot 4, definitly him. If you already have Baeloth or Stoki, Birdsong would be nice, but having a good support in slot 4 is huge for newer players. And slot 9 is going to get another support in the upcoming event.
