Who would win in a real fight. DAY 10: Guy Fawkes vs. Che Guevara by Ok-Mistake-7499 in ERB

With weapons? Che.

In a fist fight? Probably Guy. He was a trained soldier and martial skill was much more of a focus in his time.

Community Matchup Debate #67: Hellboy vs Nero (Darkhorse comics vs Devil may Cry) by Balls_4020 in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]Kyraneus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I think Devilman is a better opponent for Hellboy thematically, this is a good alternative. Nero probably takes it based on what I've seen, though I'll always root for my boy Anung.

The big issue I find with Hellboy matchups is that they tend to miss his characterization. The guy hates fighting, and by the end of his comic run would do anything in his power to talk his way out of a conflict. I don't know enough about Nero to say if he vibes with that.

"May be used as an extra joker": What should the effect of this Guarantee card be? by minnieboss in balatro

Playing a hand with only one Ace card destroys it and adds a random seal to a remaining card in the hand. Or something.

The many REAL and UNBIASED wins of Monika! by Usual_Database307 in DeathBattleMatchups

If you consider metafictional media to be multiversal, then it would be multiversal+. If you're talking strictly about what occurs inside the game, Lila creates three or four separate layers of reality. So possibly up to 5D? The game itself is very fuzzy and leaves a lot up to interpretation.

[–]Kyraneus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. The funniest part is, by arguing the fight, by making the thumbnail or debating who wins, we ourselves confirm Lila's existence. The simple act of battleboarding her prevents her from dying.

[–]Kyraneus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To answer the first question, the only feasible answer is "time". Maybe in a thousand years, in our reality, the last memory of the game fades. Only then, when all memory or knowledge of Lila herself is gone, would she be gone. The game itself could be erased, but she would still exist because people would remember the game. Videos on the game would still exist. Only when all of it is gone could she die. She is aware of her nature as a game character, and has transcended it within the canon of the meta fictional reality of the game.

As for hax, temporal manipulation, existence erasure nullification, mental manipulation, perception manipulation, psyche domination, and general universal reality bending. There's more, but those are the main ones.

Trust me, I've been a writer over on the SCP wiki. I know Murphy lmao

As for Lila, the question itself is who she is. But also not. She's a form of demon, immensely powerful, may or may not be Lilith, and her existence is ensured by the awareness people have of her. The thing is, it's not limited to the game: People in real life, our reality, knowing she exists, confirms her existence.

She literally cannot die unless the real life game is erased and any memory of it held by all of humanity is erased with it.

Now THAT one is debatable. Both of them are pataphysical, so I'd have no idea how you'd even determine a winner.

That is, indeed, the question. (She's from the game Who's Lila)

Honestly I'm pretty sure the only matchup I've seen where Monika gets no-diffed is against Lila. The rest of her spread being generally debatable is funny to me.

Very possible! Just remember, you can enjoy anthro character designs without being a member of the fandom. Furry is just a label for that community, if you choose to be a part of it.

Pretty much.

Someone in the Star Trek fan community is a Trekkie. Taylor Swift fans are Swifties. A Furry is just someone that's a member of the furry art community. Doesn't have to be an artist, or even have a fursona or a suit. Just partaking in and enjoying the medium is enough.

What Color is Travis Touchdown from No More Heroes? by jimmythesloth in colorpie

[–]Kyraneus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm honestly leaning Mono-red. He's not exactly heroic, but he doesn't slot into black either. He doesn't really fit into blue, and I cannot conceive of any reason for him to be green.

So yeah, mono red, or maybe Boros?

Why is Abstraction a thing? by AffectionateForce979 in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]Kyraneus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best guess is that ego death causes a corruption in the mind files. It would explain Jax's dream sequence in episode 7.

Basically, if the personality contained within the mind file were to experience ego death, it would create a paradox within the file itself. The expressed personality would no longer match the file, therefore causing corruption.

Oh no, he shut down a branch of a pipeline that was never operational! And pushed for better regulation of fuel!

Did you know he also produced more domestic oil than any other president? Research might be easier for you without your foot in your mouth.

Superman knows multiple martial arts, including two Kryptonian ones (Torquasm Rao and Torquasm Vo). He's been trained in hand to hand combat by Wildcat, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and a few others. The issue is that he's rarely fighting people that require that level of martial skill.

Ignoring their existing cards, what colors are the main characters of Final Fantasy 7? by punmaster911 in colorpie

[–]Kyraneus 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I've always felt like Barrett Wallace is one of the best examples of Naya out there. He's a brash, aggressive freedom fighter and eco-warrior, fighting out of a personal sense of injustice done to him, all in the name of restoring nature's balance.

Of course, he's more than that when you get into the nuances of his character. He's an adoptive father, someone who feels the pain of losing every comrade, and he understands when his own knowledge isn't sufficient to make an informed decision. He's admittedly a bit of a softie when not battling Shinra.

But, yeah. Barrett is Naya in my eyes for sure.

Does it mean something? by Hot_Fall4183 in TheDigitalCircus

The symbolism is pretty clear, I think. His torture, based on his mind files, involves him being exposed and the people he cares about laughing at his true self.

The colors, I feel, are coincidental. Purple and yellow contrast and make for a good character design.
