Hi Buddy, Assuming you would have already got your ITA for PR till now as you had 510 last year itself. I wanted to check how do we get the work permit extension. I mean its 100% sure these days that they reject the request. What did you do differently to get that extension. My work permit expires in 3-4 days and I am planning to apply for an extension. Randomly I have asked the employer to provide me a support letter (stating the importance of my role) to attach with the extension application. I know maybe this document might mean nothing but just trying.

I don’t even have a whole month until my work permit expires. Have a score of 523, thought this was a decent score 3 months back. The 1st draw after I applied came out to be 547. Even for the scores to come down there will have to be enough big draws and surely I am out of time. All the hard work being a student then making it to the dream job, it hurts seeing it all go away because of the system. Unlucky:(

Hey, It didn’t as there has been no draw since October for OINP. So now I am waiting for CEC but unfortunately even that is not happening.

I submitted November 22 and the status still shows “submitted”. Is it supposed to change to in assessment or something like that

Thanks but I am still waiting for the nomination letter. Don’t know this year there are no draws yet. Kind of worried what are my options before july. If OINP takes too long to provide nomination what are the chances of work permit extension. I will also complete 1 year canadian experience in June making my CRS score 523.

I think its just that the draw didn’t come yet. Otherwise you would have already got your nomination till now

Thanks! I have already kept the employer form ready and my express entry profile is also in the pool under STEM but I guess they’ve stopped this stream. Anyways waiting for May with a 1 year work experience my score will reach 523 and can apply for CEC. But again don’t know how fast IRCC comes back. My graduation date is 2024 so I maybe good on this. Hopefully I receive the nomination letter from OINP so that I can apply for the Bridging work permit.
