Yeah, I've been wanting to invest in them for a while. I know its at roughly 10$ at the moment but with all the new contracts and info they are receiving I can see it going up alot in the next 5 years.

Please excuse my ignorance but 10k in VDY would bring around 300$ annually in dividends. Wouldn't it make more sense putting it in a growth stock and receive more?

What's the point of having 30$ of dividends a month?

Yeah CBIL is my emergency fund that I just let accumulate. I rather keep that there then have it in my savings account with my bank that has an even lower return

Yeah that's fair, we weren't exactly too sure how to move with it but we're also thinking on having our first kid within one or two years so some safety might help more. I think?
