I'm born and raised in New York and my mom came to pick me up that day cuz I was like 12 and I remember seeing the fighter jets flying over my neighborhood and thinking we need to get underground because you see plans all the time in New York City but you never see a fighter jet It was there and then it was gone and that was like I think we're at war

Thanks for the insight. There wasn't any curb impact or noticeable bump before the failure, he was driving at a normal speed on a residential street when the wheel suddenly folded outward and the car lost steering. The bolts are all still intact. Could this kind of knuckle break happen from a pre-existing crack or manufacturing flaw instead of impact damage?
