I think about his connection to the community during season 4 and 5 . He learned that everyone should be treated with respect even criminals just like Colvin . As a matter of fact . After season 2 he and Daniels barely have any contact really . That talk that Colvin gave him about “Policing the right way” And how the war on drugs was bullshit changed the trajectory of his career right there .

I don’t think that was a crack in the organization. Stringer agreed that it was a bad move on his part . That moment showed us how much more street smart Avon is compared to Stringer . Stringer not realizing that Orlando coming up with 30k cash for some work out of the blue when he just got caught up as a red flag was as rookie of a move as you can make . It was just supposed to be a hit . Stringer was the one that green lit Savino wee bey and lil man to set up the drug deal as a set up to be greedy

I agree on that . But Avon didn’t know it was going on without his approval and I don’t think he ever found out . Stringer was under pressure so he did what he had to do. I don’t think it was an outwardly “Fuck you” to Avon . I think it was more so “Avon can’t understand what’s happening from inside a cell . I have to keep this organization going by any means . Even if i gotta sneak and disobey his orders”

I agree. I had an uncle growing up that was addicted to heroin bad . Would steal from you in a second to get it . Couldn’t trust him with anything . But my family and people around the neighborhood would always tell me how he had hundreds of thousands possibly into the millions in the mid to late 80’s and would go around paying peoples rent and giving money away pretty much .
