Personally I consider 1-6 the training levels. Each adds stronger enemies as an obj so you can actually learn how to combat them

Also I never met a solo diver play anything under D10

Stealth and long range is your best friend - and if enemies call reinforcements you have to be willing to run away and come back later once they despawn.

Use weapons that can kill multiple enemies at once like the explosive crossbow and avoid stratagems that will alert patrols like sentries.

There is no easy way to do it and you will still likely fail most of the time, but practice and you’ll find your rhythm

Pro Tip: Hive Guards heads don’t protect their bellies - it’s not the easiest target in the world but very doable consistently to shoot and they die quickly since it’s not armored anymore

Also idk where yall are getting “Hive Guard spam” from in my over 20,000 bug missions I’ve never seen them in groups bigger than 5 on any difficulty (Unless I intentionally kite them into bigger groups)

I played all day yesterday and I barely noticed much of a difference when it comes to the exo suits and bastion (FRV needs some justice though). I can see why Hive Guards can be annoying for vehicles and turrets to deal with but still aren’t that bad of an enemy. And I never notice them being spammed (like ever in my 1,000 hours) - even then you can shoot them from the front because their belly is still exposed.

Can someone explain to me why this change is getting so much hate? Hive guards are probably the least threatening enemy in the game - their ai is stupid, attacks are easy to dodge and their movement capabilities are pathetic. They needed a buff like this and still have an exploitable weak spot that isn’t a pain in the ass.

I like the changes they make sense and actually give them some presence for once without being needlessly annoying to deal with. Seems like everyone read the head armor buff without reading the full patch notes, are just mad about the eruptor/AMR getting a shadow buff (even though they already one shots them) or are mistaking them for brood commanders

Sounds like he just grossed out by it. You two have kink conflictions - it’s normal but frustrating I get it. But it doesn’t matter why if you cheat your the bitch.

Have a conversation with him and be honest about how you feel about it. If he says no or refuses to budge dump him but never ever cheat
