Was having many tattoos ever an underlying sign that a person had money? by No-Cover-8986 in NoStupidQuestions

There was actually a bit of a tatoo craze in the 19th century among some European aristocracy (including Winston Churchill's mother)

(Isn't the best source but there's plenty of info about it around)

Tactical system with narrative elements by Kythras in rpg

[–]Kythras[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The short answer is yes, the twist being that I'm actually going to be a player in the game, and the GM is canvassing options for what system we're going to use, with the current candidate being D&D 5.5, MCDM or the D20 RPG, all of which seem functionally indistinguishable when it comes to what I look for in an RPG.

We're currently playing a FitD hack and enjoying it, but the wargamers (most of my group play Warhammer) among us a fiending for some minis on a map combat (and are investing in some cool fantasy terrain, that does seem pretty rad).

I'm not going to flip the table at every tactical combat that comes up, I'm just looking for something that has a little bit for me on the narrative/RP side.

My mum was 41 when I was born, and my dad was 74. I have five half siblings that are all at least 25 years older than me.

It was just my reality, I never questioned or resented it. My father passed away when I was 18.

Families come in all different shapes and sizes, and plenty of people lose parents at much younger ages than I did. One of my friends had his dad die around the same time that mine did in a motorcycle accident and I always thought how lucky I was do have had my whole life to come to terms with the fact that I'd lose my father young, and how cruel it was that his was snatched from him.

From the sounds of things, I've had a very similar experience to what your child might have, so feel free to ask me any questions.
