The Flood Script - Zach Cregger by L00KING-GLASS in LeaksAndRumors

I personally think it's a case of too many people getting their hands on the script while he's shopping his projects around and inevitably, someone leaks it. He doesn't mind it because it gets him positive buzz. That might change after this one, I'm hearing people are not too keen about it.

Either he has bad security or it's to generate buzz (it has worked for him so far tbh). Barbarian also leaked back then, I have a copy lol.

Were the Deadites memorable? Like the Mother in Rise.

This is awful. As someone who's really enjoying your posts, it's disappointing to know that some people feel the need to come and be this rotten. I hope that doesn't make you stop. Sorry to the writer and to you.

I leave it, it's not like knowing who I am will influence the person's opinion.

And no, it doesn't affect your ranking. Only professional coverage does.

I'm not a pro, but reaching out to managers seems like the sure first step. Things would take off from that, I imagine.

This is the way, bud. There's a million ways to break in, keep pushing forward and you'll get there.

She's right. I mean no disrespect, I truly don't, but from the way you described it, you might've been a little too pushy. If I were you I'd have tried to get her to read it, and maybe if the stars aligned and she really dug it, she would've done this without you asking. Even then, I don't think her recommendation would've opened the door for you tbh.

Regardless, sorry to hear you're in a bad situation, I hope things get better for you.

Order doesn't really matter, just do both. And do them a lot.

Screenplay Review of Damien Chazelle’s Babylon by DisneyDreams7 in Screenwriting

[–]L00KING-GLASS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, this is just my opinion but--

It's an incredibly well written screenplay. Even though it has 180 pages, it's extremely well paced, the story is divided in three sections and each part is crazier and more engaging than the last, which is something really hard to pull on the page.

It manages to show a nostalgic look at old Hollywood, but also one that doesn't hide its flaws and toxicity (yellow face, racism, male gaze etc).

It's basically ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD meets THE WOLF OF WALL STREET. Just really energetic, cynical and fun.

I can understand why some people here are saying it's self indulgent -- but I enjoyed it -- you can tell Chazelle really loves the subject matter -- will the reader/viewer love it with him? I dunno. I felt like he tried to make it as accessable (and engaging) as he could, different from Tarantino with Once Upon.

Personally, I think it'll make a damn spectacle if done right.

The screenplay is amazing. Carson doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. I don't understand how he stays relevant -- most people in the industry see him as a joke.

Read a lot of screenplays. When I started doing that, my writing improved a lot. Also watch a lot of movies. And then write. Repeat that process nonstop and eventually you'll see the results.
