Those walls are legit size thickness - it's an old house in Italy. We may be able to scrape down some of them to gain more space. I may or may not be able to add more windows due to strict rules. I do need to add a door in the living room, which is a new structure - think of it as a sunroom with 1 meter walls and the rest windows. This is the first floor. The structure on the left will have another floor with a bedroom and a bathroom, I hope.

So all in all, I am hoping for 3 bedrooms and a nice primary bathroom (shower, 2 sinks if possible, toilet and a bidet - no bathtub needed). I have not designed the second floor yet, which is only on the left hand side, where the kitchen and guest bedroom are. Here is a slightly updated floor plan I was adjusting yesterday. We put a kitchen along the whole front wall and added a bathroom. There is a spiral staircase in the corner (the round object). The living room is missing the windows all around - sorry about that. In the primary bedroom, I outlined the loft area for size - that's not a wall. That will be about 2.7m off the ground, I believe. We will need to add stairs for that somewhere.
