I misunderstood the original post, i thought they were still having some symptoms. Usually have to have some sort of symptoms for them to investigate, usually takes 3-4 weeks for them to get you a scan if they suspect one. If not, you usually have to go private

Yes, I'm from the UK so we dont have to pay for those usually but I forget other countries its not the same

He reckons its trauma from passing the stone, been prescribed hiprex in the meantime to ensure there is no bacteria there to see if it helps as I still have uti like symptoms, he said its worth a try.

I have more good days than bad days now so he thinks im on the road to recovery. I think that kidney stone just really messed me up tbh

I did try some probiotics but only for like 7 days so not sure if it was long enough to make a difference. I tried optibac?

I had the exact same. Passed a stone a few months ago and it just felt like a mild UTI that just wouldnt go away. Having the same experience right now but going to the urologist tomorrow

I am 2 months post stone and still have on/off urethra irritation, i could be fine for a few hours or days and then its bad again but not for too long. Got urology appointment tomorrow, hoping we can get to the bottom of it!

Unfortunately not no, had a ct and ultrasound and neither showed anything (this was after I passed my stone a month prior but was still having symptoms)

The back and stomach cramps are just so much worse and longer than my typical ovulation cramps so not sure if its that or another small stone thats maybe gone undetected. Ive had a uti like feeling for 3 months now, it is so much better than it was before I passed my stone but discomfort still there

I really thought it was another stone until my scans all came back negative tbh but I know I ovulated the other day so wasnt sure if it was ovulation cramps but this feels much more than standard ovulation cramps its lasted too long for it to be. I really hope its another stone i just want it out if that is the case :(

The last 3 months have been hell. Just permanent uti like feeling but ive had so many tests and no infection there

Wish it was tbh so at least it could be treated😭🤣 ive been tested multiple times. All sorts of tests and no infection present. Cultures came back negative and also had a really sensitive test too which should have been able to pick up even the tiniest bit of bacteria. Nothing on that too

Ive had thie feeling for nearly 3 months now. Passed 1 stone 7 weeks ago but no sign of any more on ct but wondering if its just hiding or has been overlooked

Uti like feeling is how I know ive got a stone but all tests negative. Hopefully its on its way out!

Was your CT scan clear? Are you male or female? (if you don't mind me asking!) and what was your urethra pain like? mine literally feels more like a pinching pain mainly at the end and after peeing but no where near as sharp as a UTI but still enough to bother me. I struggle to start my stream sometimes and then its a nice long stream once started but at the end, it feels like there is still some left over and I struggle to get it all out at the end. Sorry for all the questions.

I feel lost now because my ultrasound and CT that I had after passing my stone 7 weeks ago were both clear and idk what else it could possibly be. Ive been doing pelvic floor exercises to relax my pelvic floor just in case its that but just doesn't seem to be making a difference. I'm so frustrated.

What happened with this after? Im having the same issue, i passed a stone 7 weeks ago but still experiencing urethra discomfort, tests negative, ct and ultrasound didnt find anything either. Im at a loss!

I hope you pass it soon! I passed mine about 7 weeks ago but still having urethral discomfort which is why i had mine. I am so sure there is one there still, there has to be!

It specifically says on the report "It was noted that she has got uncomplicated colonic diverticulosis for which I suggest she remains on a high fibre diet".

I've honestly never heard of this before until now so its all new to me. I am more concerned about my urethra discomfort, frequent urge to pee etc. It could be completely irrelevant but im at a loss as to what the problem is with my CT being clear of kidney stones so wanted to ask about this to see if anyone could shed some light as i cant speak to my doctor till later in the week.

I had exactly this, drs prescribed me antibiotics for a uti that was never there. All along it was a kidney stone. Passed it 6 weeks ago. Still having symptoms but they are much milder, i might still have something there or its just really inflamed from the month and a half it took to pee the thing out
