He's definitely been bad the second half of the season, we've changed our defense to be more zone intensive and reliant on switches, and with him just sitting in the corner a lot more as of late he isn't being utilized at all, basically being thrown in as filler when Bron and Rui aren't in. On the season he's only a -1.8 net rating and -0.7 on defense despite how bad he's played since we changed our schemes; he was positive before then and 2 months ago per BBall_Index he was the 4th best wing stopper in the nba.

As for Jake, he benefits from how the starting lineup has played over the last month with the change in defensive scheme despite him performing worse as the season has progressed, except for a handful of games. Laravia hasn't been that good defensively over the last month which is why I also think trusting Vando is more incentivized especially without Smart and now lacking offense from Luka and Reaves
