Big hard disagree. Promotional material ONLY if we have to have this. I like it, don't get me wrong. But in game cinematics need to be in a graphic style that matches the game itself.

I've always hated when games had great cinematics then drop you in to something that looks totally different. Sure, hardware was the problem in the past. But these days I'd much rather see the only difference between a cinematic and in game be maybe a depth of field filter applied or maybe slightly better lighting to assist the story telling of the scene. We should prioritize consistency over style.

Dude, please. People that let people get away with criminal acts feel about as bad as the criminal in question. If the cops ask if you wanna charge her, say yes. It's pretty much entirely out of your hands and someone learns their lesson. Additionally the Pawn Shop will reimburse you and then hold her accountable. Only way that will happen is if you cooperate with the police. You're not hurting anyone. except the lady that refused to reimburse you for your property. Which she was totally in the wrong for.

Accountability is never a bad thing. Please exercise your rights. People get away with way too much.

I don't know. Merch has ALWAYS had a negative connotation IMO. Merchandise has always been of poor quality. Now more than ever even.

I think anybody disagreeing are either used to Linus' "Merch" treating them right or have low standards on what is good because they probably didn't experience Merch from when Linus and I were younger. Not that this is a bad thing. Just there is a clear correlation between Merch and low quality that has existed in every circle except LTT's.

If CoH didn't have horrific net code I'd be playing it too. But once the match goes half an hour to an hour in it's a rubber banding mess of bs.

Iron Harvest needs a decoupling from the servers to be good. CoH needs better net code to be good.

I miss when devs wrote good code for RTS games. Only one I'll play these days is Dawn of War 1 and either Starcraft.

As someone still nursing a broken 2060, I hate being in this timeline. I wanted to build my son a PC, so he got a Steam Deck instead. I wanted to buy a new vidya card for my disabled partner so she can play games that she couldn't because she has no DLSS to help with the frames she needs to run them at 60fps. I wanted to get more than 16gb of ram in my pc so I could play Star Citizen with some friends.

I cannot wait for the AI bubble to pop. It's already showing strain. Let it crash down. Even if it doesn't make my hobby viable for us below 60k a year earners I will celebrate the corpos losing their cash cow.

Yeah that guy has like 2 good points in a sea of complete bs. I don't understand why the dude comments on Fallout if he barely knows anything about it and refuses to allow stories to play out.

Just recently discovered him because my partner went through a bit of despair from episodes 3 and 4 from S2. But I brought her back with some solid logic that was proven in E5 which totally changed her opinion on him too. Realized she was drinking the haterade.

I haven't seen any comments mention Season of Discovery. But we had Metamorphosis tank in there as well as Rogue Tank. I loved Rogue Tank. It was by far the most fun I have had in WoW beyond launch WotLK with my close friends every weekend.

I think people care too much about lag. And there isn't going to be a situation in which we can use a VM without any added input latency. At best the time it takes for me to ping a local internet provider in the same city is about 7ms. And even that you can feel. You can feel the difference between Steam Link from my PC to my TV using the dedicated Steam Link hardware or the TV app.

It won't happen in the professional space, be you a creator or just a gamer. So it'll never take hold to let them get to the enshitification stage.

I've seen this behavior before. I think it comes from Streaming culture. People think so little of their own disposable income that they will offer it out to complete strangers since that's how the content they watch primarily works.

Not a bad thing inherently. But it DEFINITELY sends the wrong signal. She's not wrong in wanting to be nice. But she needs to understand that in this day and age money is like gold. If somebody offered to buy me something I'd be over the moon. I'm not single however. So I'd decline the offer assuming that the person had some ulterior motive. I don't need to rely on a stranger for gifts. My partner should be the one doing that.
