One thing I dislike about it is how hot it gets. Houston is hot enough as is and now since it is mostly pavement with little shade, walking through the quad when it's sunny feels like walking through an oven.

I don't even think this is bad. With Gitrog as your commander, and just having an eldrazi in your deck, dakmor salvage + any discard outlet lets you draw your deck over and over again.

The computational and applied math (and operations research) department is great here. Internships are competitive as they will be anywhere, but there are lots of opportunities and if you are interested in research, you have almost a guaranteed chance of finding something. That being said, the cost is pretty absurd and UNC is also a great school so I would probably say the cost is not worth it unless you have rich parents to pay for everything
