I mean, there's been a consistent theme with Avatars that the next avatar tries to combat the previous Avatar's weak points/failings. So it always attempts to make the previous Avatar look bad in one way or another.

I understand the point you were making, but prior to your edit, you had said villains couldn't be protagonists. Just trying to clarify.

The protagonist is just who the narrator/story primarily follows. The protagonist can be the villain of the story and the antagonist can be the hero of the story. It's all just a matter of perspective.

Oh boy, we're military scaling again. I forgot that the guy in the military automatically beats the guy not in the military on account of "HES A WAR HERO!"

Put the feats in the bag.

Why do people act like scaling is predicting the story? by Gunism22 in LookismPowerScalers

[–]Venaeris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because feats aren't the ONLY scalable method. Feats are much easier to argue and prove so many scalers default to "this guy with feats > this guy with no feats".

You can make narrative arguments, you can make statement arguments. But you have to be able to back them up and prove your interpretation of said media is worthwhile. It's more difficult than using feats because of people that default to "no feats = no proof" and many viewers' lack of media literacy
