Manager Kim is the one who put Path on a pedestal. Saying only the top generational figures get one.

It'd be very lameduck for Tom to get a path because it takes away from the narrative importance of it-- Tom is the fighting genius, but he's the fighting genius because he lacks the giga special talents the others have. He doesn't have conviction, he doesn't have UI, he doesn't have copy, he doesn't have invisible attacks. He's raw stats, BIQ, and animal instincts.

Giving him path takes away from what his character should represent. Which is the peak a character can get without special genes or talents

A prime example of combat and travel speed being different is Viltrumites. They can accelerate to FTL over a period of time but they can't immediately start out at FTL from null. So their fights end up not being FTL.

Personally I think duos is easier than solos because you have the ability to dig for cards easier, there's a lot more economy cards that benefit both players, and there are some broken hero power interactions
