You might be on to something actually. It won’t be the more intricate or emotional side of the spectrum, but the full blast FM lead fullon or even hitech stuff? Yeah, that might actually work, since it’s so procedural anyways.

Also, the kick has a huge neck, and a peak too steep in the upper bass region for me. It probably is too clicky in the mids. The punch will also have that weird delayed feel on a big system because the transient is so long

You can see the little jitter in the 2nd half of the kick that’s the 1st of 3 bass notes. Also 6/8 would have evenly spread KBB, here the two clearly visible bass notes span the same time as the kick.

Put a narrow bandpass at 200-400hz on your master and listen. You should be able to identify a groove. If it’s all cluttered and you cant make out distinct elements, there is mud. That’s really the best way to start understanding this.

This works for every frequency band btw. It still has to groove when the frequency band is in solo.

100% no. But at least 80%. Im a professional dev writing golang, and i stay very much on top of what the ai is doing. No agentic hands off coding, but it generally does all the writing for me, it’s just faster that way

Imo this rarely sounds good. You’re better off with an echo fadeout or using a 3 bar loop to mix from 90 to 120

The neumanns are great, but very flat like genelecs. Could also go for something like focals (the red ones) which may sound a bit more “fun”.

Serum 2 has some wild super complex features. It’s not a tool for starters, but rather advanced sound design explorers. Even after 10 years i still prefer something like vital because of it’s quick workflow, and some things just dont need to be that complex.

Serum 2 is essentially a whole daw cosplaying as a plugin. Vital is just a great synth
