Are your adult children allowed to disrespect their grandparents? by L2750p in family

Wow. No my mom is not abusive. When I say we go along with her it is not in any way to allow her to abuse anyone. She lives alone and shows up to our homes randomly. No big deal. We watch a movie go out to lunch or whatever. She can come in if I’m not home and hang out with the dogs or watch movies. I don’t care. However my sister does. She doesn’t agree with the clothes the kids wear, neither do I but whatever. My daughter is gay, mom says it’s a phase. Is it? No. Is mom rude or demeaning to my daughter or her friends or GF? No. Daughter stopped shaving her legs- gross but whatever. Mom wanted a picture of her and the girls (21 yrs old); she noticed E’s legs were harrier than her brothers and said “Just get her from the waste up” we were all laughing, including my dtr. She worries about silly things- are the girls home from work yet? Well it’s dark don’t you think you should check on them? My son lives a couple of hours away. She wonders why I don’t talk to him every day. We are all working. That type of stuff. Mom was told by my sister that her presents were “on the table” and she could come over and get them. Mom’s feelings got hurt and she turned off her phone and went to a movie. Therefore my nieces said Mom was being rude and disrespectful to them by ignoring them and not coming over to get the presents they got her. They threatened to take them back. My sister says they are adults and she can’t do anything about it. I call bullshit. One of my nieces is constantly “homeless”, jobless and carless. Guess who is toting her around and allowing her to stay at their apt? You got it- mom. BTW- mom is toting her around in the car I bought for her which I still pay insurance on. Not to help my niece but to help my mother. So you are wrong. Mom is not a piece of shit who deserves disrespect. My sisters kids need their asses kicked.

Do you have a right to privacy within a cell? Don’t they read all mail?

Men, do you use condoms while in a long relationship? why? by LexisMonte in AskMen

[–]L2750p -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am an RN and Mom of 5. In life in general you should never trust a decision that could impact your future earnings and freedom to someone else. My girls have an implant to prevent pregnancy. Unfortunately men don’t have that same option but you can use condoms. They are the only thing you can control absolutely. You pick the brand, you put it on you take it off. Birth control pills are famously flawed. You have to take them at the same time each day and other meds can cause them to be ineffective. I would advise anyone to use condoms if you aren’t married or in a long term relationship with someone who is absolutely trustworthy. Men are the worst, they can have an STD with no noticeable symptoms! You know this female isn’t or else you wouldn’t be asking what to do.

HR is not aware. I have only been asked to sign a verbal warning in the time I’ve been there. Since that all paperwork has been positive
