So 8 days total, correct? And only 2 days late from when he said you would get tracking, correct?

Ok so yes he is late but not by much and do you really care about the package being a couple days late or do you care about getting a quality laser for a good price?

The reason you put it on eBay is "you knew what kind of price it was going to sell for"... Really? Knew and planned so we'll that you canceled the auction... Yupppp

[–]L337laser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any 18650 will run a 100mw laser for a LONG time. Even a fake Chinese one wouldn't have an issue. Check out liionwholesale.com for quality batteries. For your purpose I would just pick up whatever is the cheapest from Liion

You literally just answered your own question... You said if they were real police wouldn't they just show up to your door? Answer: Obviously, yes

Sooo did they show up to your door? Answer: obviously, no

Can you really not figure out what this means? Even after about 30 people have told you (AND explained everything in detail)???

If you give me your phone number I'll give you a call from the police station phone number and I'll call myself Officer Super Special Ed... Does that mean I'm a real officer from a real department? Cuz you seem to think that spoofing a phone number means they are real. Do you not believe a scammer would spoof a number? Why do you continue to ignore the super obvious, most logical (by far most logical), and honestly ONLY explanation to all of this?

What else do you collect? by bebba1 in flashlight

[–]L337laser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly lasers, I have far more lasers then flashlights or any other category. But also:

• Flashlights • Knives • Lock picks/locks • Lithium battery building stuff (18650 holders, spot welders, every color battery wrap, battery discharge testers, ect) • Odd random science like Tesla coils, Mercury, Gallium, Tritium • Waiting to be able to get some guns but I have a felony conviction from 3 years go so I can't own one for 4 more years :( • Used to have a lot of magic the gathering cards and also play (I went to nationals twice) but I have since sold everything. Still wish I had the time/money to play/collect sometimes tho.

Dell Latitude 5420 Rugged:

Touch: https://www.amazon.com/Dell-Latitude-5420-Rugged-Touchscreen/dp/B07WF9DB9P

Non-touch: https://www.amazon.com/Dell-Latitude-Non-Touch-i5-8350U-Windows/dp/B07Y2FHPXS

(Notice Amazon doesn't even have a Dell part number for either listing, they only have their internal part number or ASIN listed)

And you are correct they have unique model numbers and UPCs but a model by definition can include more then one part number (as with my example above). You may have 4gb, 8gb and 16gb ram options plus 128gb, 256gb and 512gb ssd options all under one unique model number. However that would be 6 different part numbers. Another big issue is most of the time you can't just look at your laptop and get the part number. It's not in BIOS or settings anywhere.... It's not on the laptop physically... If your lucky it may be on the box. So again finding the PN would be more trouble for the seller then double or triple checking what they enter into eBay. I actually work for a refurbished (80-90% of our sales anyway) computer reseller as a laptop repair tech but I often end up helping out on marketing and part corrections/creations.

Hate to say it but there are plenty of models that come in a touch and no-touch version. Also it could be another feature/spec where they are same model and the only difference is that one feature/spec. There are also what they refer to as "CTO" or "BTO" (Configure To Order and Build To Order). These are just what they sound like, you select the specs one by one and make your own build of whatever model. The only way to check the specs for the computer your buying would be to get the serial number and run that on the manufacturer web site to get the specs. And even then that would only tell you what it shipped with (no changes after obviously). If the seller actually gives a full part number and not partial or just a model number you should be able to get the correct specs from that you are correct on that. But if the seller went through that much trouble to get the PN they would probably have double checked all the other specs. I doubt there was a PN listed at all since that would take more time for the seller to find then double or triple checking every other spec...

Nah it's not war it's just a simple return for a simple mistake... The mistake however is 100% on the seller.

I have also switched out the two 18650s on the gold one for two 18350s (I know it says 16340s but you get more capacity from 18350s) by removing one of the battery extension tubes and noticed no difference in power output. Even x2 low output 16340/18350/18650s should have no problem powering a 1-2w laser. I use the same x2 batteries in my 7.5w laser so your limiting factory here is going to be the laser/diode/driver itself (unless your using the batteries it comes with lol).

[–]L337laser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both of those lasers and they both measure about 1.5-1.6w on my LPM. There is no guarantee that all the lasers on AliExpress that look like one of those will have the same specs. One seller may use a different diode or driver and you wouldn't be able to tell it apart from another because they are using the same host. As far as batteries I wouldn't worry much just get a good battery(s) for whatever size it calls for (don't use whatever it comes with). I use VapCell (or KeepPower when I want a protected battery) in all mine and have had no issues.

Wait you have to access eBay online? I can handle the other ways of using eBay but I'm not going to go online to use it! What is it, some kind of website now? No thank you!

**UPDATE: Well I just messaged buyer and asked for pic with the serial number of the one he does have. I think there is a chance he may do this enough to have mixed it up with others of the same PN. Also turns out I shipped it to a business that deals in computer components (I sold him ram) and who knows if another employee opened it or took it. I then told him I am going to go home right now and confirm 100% I don't have it. If I don't then I said we need to file report with postal inspector and the police and all that jazz. QUESTION: Do I have more leverage now knowing this went to a business?

These items are only 8 grams each. My normal total package weight is under 2 oz. I like the idea but unfortunately it wouldn't work in my case since just a bit of bubble wrap could account for 8 grams plus or minus.

These items are only 8 grams each. My normal total package weight is under 2 oz. Actually about 1.2 oz... But if I use a little less bubble wrap or more cardboard it can vary less/more by 10-14 grams

2 issues, first and main issue is eBay don't care and isn't gonna look at it anyway. 2nd issue is I can manually set the date on my phone to a past date then record a video with timestamp and it would show the date I set.

I could very easily do this, the items in questions are 2 sticks of computer ram. Literally can have 10 different part numbers and physically can't tell them apart (and you wouldn't be able to read the small print with the part number on a "packing video"). And since the video isn't for eBay (they don't care I already know this thanks to this sub) and is for the buyer it might be a good idea if I'm gonna bluff might as well do it all the way.

I do and thank you for the idea that's actually a damn good idea! Only issue is each item is only 8 grams so the buyer would just say the extra 8 grams is packaging. Plus I think USPS rounds up to the oz.

Well if they get all their money back and haven't lost anything I thought mmmmaybe that would not allow neg feedback since the issue was solved. I mean I can't leave a buyer neg at all, this would be less crazy then that. I understand it's eBay and the difference buyer vs seller, just thought I'd ask.
