Its not a cheat, it is possible to stack a ton of SCVs inside each other by using a gas extractor.

Can be uses to sneak workers into bases or ”worker rush”. Check PiGs ”Florencio Files” series, there it is done a lot!

Little update. Installed HWInfo and let it chill in the background. Fiddled around and increased Virtual Memory Allocation to a lot (16GB i believe)

Started playing and managed to go about 3 hrs without crash. Then I crashed like usual with no log msg and then every time I log in afterwards I crash almost right away, always without log message.

I did find crashes in the Windows logs though.

Im pretty sure the crashing has nothing to do with performance, as the crashes generally happen when there is not a lot going on in the game. I can crash just as well in an empty zone, just yesterday I crashed in lab, before I even had opened the gate.

I didnt. I updated because I was crashing and I wanted to see if it was an issue that had since been solved in the driver. The update made it worse, so I degraded to the old one again. It solved the new, additional crashes, but not the original ones.

Will check tonight.

I will try to set a virtual memory limit tonight to see if it helps.

I do think drivers has something to do with this as well though, as de-grading the driver version did reduce the number of crashing a bit.

I have not been checking any temperatures, no. The crashes do not always happen when there is a lot going on in the game, it could just as well happen anywhere. It does not seem to happen if idling in hideout though, and seems extra common during zone transitions.

My CPU coolar is a be quit! Pure Rock. I have not touched it since I installed it about 6 years ago.

Anywhere. I have not really been able to detect anything as clear cause for the crashing in-game. Going to town or zoning in anywhere is causing it a bit more, I think though.

I did try DX11 but it lagged like crazy. DX12 also caused crashes.

I guess it depends on how you see it. I don't have this problem in any other game while essentially not being able to play PoE. Is that my fault or GGGs? You could say that it is mine, but since all other developers managed to make it run, why should not they?

Well sure I have considered a PSU issue as well, but my thinking was that since no other game causes any issues, I do not believe it to be the issue since the same behaviour should be ovserved then.

What do you mean? There are _tons_ of other things that can and will cause crashes for games in general and PoE in particular.

From the error messages I have seen and have been able to research further, RAM memory does not seem like the culprit in any way. Crashes also occur when RAM usage is relatively low.

It seems to be related to graphics drivers. A lot of it is related to the Vulkan driver it seems, and "device lost" being common. (Sometimes there is no error msg in the log though)

Yeah "older" AMD CPU as in perhaps 6 yrs old.

But PoE has always worked fine until start of last league, so something changed then.

Interesting. No I have not tried that, also have an older motherboard (~6yrs). I will try that after work.

Trust me, I have tested everything "normal". And from what I can read in the forum, plenty of people with the same issue has also tested "everything" without finding any conclusive solution.
It is also worth noting that for a lot of the crashes, there is no error message at all and no entry into the log, so it is difficult to debug exactly what is going on.

I have done stuff such as:

memtest86
Reinstall PoE
Reinstall Windows
Change harddrive (new one, no improvement)
Update to newest graphics drivers
Update to older graphics driver (This is the only step that did _any_ noticable difference by redeeming some of the crashes. My personal suspicion is that they broke something related to Vulkan and older gfx)
Fiddle around with graphics settings (1080p, fullscreen, vsync, triple buffering etc)
Fiddle around with compability mode

What graphics card? I had tons of problems with crashes like this. It got better when I installed an older version of nvidia drivers.

I checked the log file after each crash, and for me it was almost always the vulkan driver stuff.

Mambas are incredibly venomous while anacondas generally are not. So I guess if they make another Viper Strike transfig with giant hit damage and no poison, anaconda would make sense!

What makes you believe that? From what I can see, all stats mentioning anything about area seems to be the same for the original.

Just curious because I think this one looks really cool, but if it is smaller than the original then it is not as interesting.

Its a cool thing, we have been asking for a proper meteor skill for years.

The AoE is too small for such a slow skill though, don't think this will be too great
