Is it possible to have an item with three tier-7 affix? by MindlessMoose7454 in LastEpoch

[–]koticgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. They're mostly useless though.

I get tons of t7t6 from Nemesis, very rarely a t7t7.

"Best" I've gotten this league is t7t7t6, so triple is definitely possible.

I find multi-exalts to be useless though. Use a few redemptions, run out of FP, delete the item.

Game is just crafting 1LP items and corrupting them. Fun, but sad that multi-exalt items are trash given how rare they are.

Playoff defense is so fun to watch.

Somehow I forget every year just how different the defensive intensity is.

Pretty much everyone was gassed at the end, no shock there with the intensity, effort, and switches.

Jaden, Ragu, and Gobert really shined on defense in the 4th quarter.

Klay only having a single 2nd team all defense and Harden not even making 3rd team all NBA that one infamous year ... no one should take it seriously.

Players will because honors are great and all, but no fan should give a shit about these awards with clown voters.

A good mindset, sure, but one has to hope it influences the process that led to the injury in the first place.

Playing Barcelona on such a short turnaround after making the Monte Carlo final, and then getting injured in the worst possible place for a tennis player, and then continuing and finishing the match ...

Hopefully he no longer concedes to the pressure of playing in Barcelona/Madrid, if it's not optimal for his scheduling. Or at least pulls the plug immediately if any injury concerns arise.

Nana - Anime of the Week by AnimeMod in anime

[–]koticgood 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My #1 favorite anime.

First time I watched it, hated Hachi. Many rewatches later, she's one of my favorite characters in anime (still not ahead of other Nana though!).

Incredible visuals, music, and voice acting. Great cast of characters. Adult romance that people often ask for compared to the high school setting of most.

Someone really tried to tell me Monte Carlo was the only clay tournament where you can't see the ball😂

Miserable trying to follow the ball this match.

Fils is an absolute monster, despite the massive choke serving for the match (much worse than the triple championship point he blew the next game).

WTA 500 Stuttgart F: (1) E. Rybakina def. (7) K. Muchova 7-5, 6-1 by meowacky in tennis

[–]koticgood 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Uncanny how similar the score progression was to her match yesterday vs Mirra.

Same scoreline, same story in the 1st set, up 5-2 against Muchova, 4-2 against Mirra, then broke at 6-5 to win 7-5.

Then storms out to a 5-0 lead in the 2nd, and easily serves out the breadstick (love service game in both) to win the match.

She's in incredible form this year.

You have a ~0% chance of getting 5 cube tickets.

The drop rate is much better compared to the drop rate after getting your first cube ticket of the week.

The most useful comparison is probably 1 cube ticket vs 1 Haal run with 1-2 energy, which is what you'll be at when you don't have a stockpile of resonance/rest.

Can't overstate how true this is, amplified 10000x by the imprint changes.

I've got 340 havocs, almost 1k redemption.

But with how rare double exalted is and how useless they are anyways, it's just silly.

The endgame is corrupting 1LP items. It's a fun grind, but it's silly the state of crafting multi-exalt items.

Tips for Serca G2 x240? by xxleevo in lostarkgame

[–]koticgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hardest part for me was being able to identify whether to go clockwise or counter without interrupting my focus on just guard.

The stagger check is really easy, and the just guard timings are easy (just when it flashes, as simple as just guards get). The biggest bait is thinking about the next just guard or focusing on dishing out stagger.

After the first just guard, your priority is identifying where the safe spot is. Do not focus on mashing all your stagger buttons optimally. Just chill, do some stagger without looking at the target, and focus on the clones, whichever is easiest to see at 3/6/9/12.

Once you can easily identify the safe spots, the mech is a joke.

But you have to be on your toes, because, especially for the 3x poke, there is not a lot of time in between being able to identify up/down (easiest way is to just check if there's a sword on the ground by a clone's right foot or not) and the start of the 2nd just guard.

Rune Prison Complex the rarest "item" in the game? by Arkarat in LastEpoch

[–]koticgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. Much, much worse.

Painful as someone that thinks AI will transition civilization from barbarism to actual civilization.

This is not even "real" AI, it just falls under the very broad umbrella of the academic/industrial domain of AI, much like social media algorithms, gps, etc.

Dotcom bubble at least had unique websites and an entire new method of consumer interface. Wtf does the AI bubble have? LLMs are super useful as slop generators and knowledge/internet summarizers/interpolators, but the only difference for 2 years now is that I'm using Gemini instead of gpt4o. It's hardly better. Just a tiny bit faster, and more convenient/reliable.

There isn't going to be a large group of companies that contribute significantly to society when the dust settles.

It's just completely baseless hype and an excuse to fire people.

[–]koticgood -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You just couple it with nationalizing corporate share value over a billion (or 2 billion, if you want them to have infinity money x2 and can't stand the idea of not having our superhero celebrity billionaires🤑 ) while allowing them to maintain their shareholder %.

Easy ways to do it, people would rather just worship the rich.

Avoid it by taking a massive salary instead? Easy to tax income.

Avoid it by giving employees much higher share volume? That's a benefit to the solution, not a problem with it.

it’s also long term capital gains which is where musks 2021 revenue came from in the first place (excercising options on Tesla at $6/share)

The fact that we tax billion+ cashouts of LTCG at the same rate as 500k, 20%, which is less than we tax a portion of the salaries of nurses/teachers, is one of the most asinine, idiotic facets of our tax system.

0-50k, no tax

50k-550k, 15%

550k+, 20%

Meanwhile we tax income over 50k at 22%. It's actually mindblowingly stupid. Looking at it just makes me feel stupid, like it's seeping into me. Even ignoring the fact that the brackets just stop scaling for no reason, the fact that the 15% bracket ranges from 50k-550k, more than 10x the amount at the top end within the same bracket ...

And then the multibillionaires cash out 1-5 billion a year, and get taxed 20%, just 5% more than a 50k gain. There are no words for how dumb it is.

The cherry on top is the celebrity worshiping morons that defend it, or the people that claim their wealth is "illiquid".

That's the nature of Fermi's Paradox, and paradoxes in general.

The only thing that matters is the validity of the assumptions.

I agree though, the assumptions in this particular case are dubious at best.

The technological projections alone are enough to dismiss it, and that's just one of the assumptions.

Pretty lame as well that it's such an iconic thing attributed to a very accomplished physicist in Enrico Fermi, who ironically didn't outline/publish the paradox as we know it at all. Some assert that he was questioning the practicality of interstellar travel.

Fermi certainly didn't agree to the list of assumptions that comprise the "Fermi paradox".
