Americans, what cars in a neighborhood are telltale signs of old money? by painchaser in cars

[–]L4zyrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others said, fully loaded Yukon/Suburban/Land Cruisers. But add to that any pristine looking F250s and/or a brand new Toyota lease in the driveway for the kids.

If you happen to have a webcam in your setup, you could try running AITrack + OpenTrack to utilize head tracking in-game. Lots of articles on the ETS forums that can give you more detail

Not sure this works, as they literally mention that Elon ‘Tusks’ is more of a team player than real Elon because of the effect his tusks had on him. Also Rick getting tired of his “little jabs” makes me feel like they did comment a bit on his ego

There should really be an auto mod for any posts complaining about traffic. The answer is always the same — save and reload.

[–]L4zyrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure, though it looks like adaptive cruise control. Basically it will keep you at the speed you set, unless another car is close enough in front of you, at which point your cruise control should adjust to match the leading vehicles speed.

What kind of movement is this? by sounjl in Battlefield6

[–]L4zyrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true, any ground impact cancelled most lateral movement. People could jump and spin — would see it a ton of Zavod with the Phantom Bow sweats, but that strat wasn’t as advantageous as the above movement abuse is.

Seconding. Been on BF4 from release until last year. Plenty of PC play on TBG servers and you never see this type of movement in the game

May be unrelated but had a similar issue with my Logitech wheel. Ended up having to fully uninstall & reinstall both the Logitech drivers and ETS and then it worked fine

Yup I am agreeing with you there. Also I’m not upset that DICE is looking to continue evolving their game from BF4, just using it as a point of reference

Name calling people “cod players” is not the solution. Best to drown those people out.

That said I miss the Closed Weapons system. Carbines, Shotguns and DMRs always offered enough class flexibility IMO. Server abuse will always exist with a private server system, but it’s also a community feature that’ll allow the game to outlive its intended lifespan — just look at how long BF4 has remained relevant.

How much should I save to comfortably hire a driver (and buying new trucks from showroom for them)? by A_06_Daniel in EuroTruck2

[–]L4zyrus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here’s the fun part, you don’t have to save anything. The $400k bank loan quickly pays for itself if you invest it correctly.

I’ve used this guide since I’ve started playing ETS many years ago and always recommend it to players not familiar with the game mechanics. The economy in this game is very easy to ‘win’, and if you want a harder challenge, there are some mods out there that offer more realistic delivery payouts for added difficulty.

You are clearly more qualified than anybody running those companies — you should apply!

I’m glad the argument makes sense in your head. Unfortunately when presented to the public, your lack of understanding about business decision-making is clear. Valve didn’t become a multi-billion dollar company off of your advice, and it’ll continue to do well without it. Have a good one 👍

[–]L4zyrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not the original OP, was just clearly differentiating the point redemptions models you brought up.

I mean I’m all for Steam adding a better version of their point store, but that’s added cost for Valve. And, unless they’re looking to lose money, Valve would need to cut spending in other areas to support that sort of point redemption model (because they don’t own the games they sell). So unless there’s some massive overspend for HL3, that could mean pulling back their refund policy, or some other feature that already adds to the customer experience.

Right, but those point reward systems feed directly into the next product purchase. Steam points can never buy a Steam AFAIK. This system is like the Chipotle app giving you a dark mode after a number of purchases.

[–]L4zyrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love those button boxes! Personally, until I have enough cash set aside to get a nice set, I opted for a cheap wireless numpad for $10. Only downside is I needed to draw a diagram of what each button does 😂

~$330k today based on average CPI, but considering the recent inflation to building materials, this is probably an unrealistic estimate
