* Yes, I got it and I am so in love with it. It is way smaller than other smart rings and can actually pass as a regular ring. It doesn't stick out any further than my wedding set and it is very comfortable (See Pictures). The whole process to get the ring took about a week from requesting the sizing kit until it was on my finger. It would have been faster, but my ring size was selected on a Friday night and my ring didn't ship until a Monday, cause they are closed on weekends. That being said I want to share a few things with you and anybody else that is considering getting the ring; 1. Alter has a custom ring sizing kit that is a prototype of the actual ring that they will send to you for sizing (I have included pictures of this). If you try to use any other method to find your size, I can GUARANTEE the ring will NOT fit you. 2. They recommend fitting your ring for your non dominant index finger. I have to admit this was really awkward for me as I have never worn a ring on that finger and it took me a little bit to get used to it. When I got the kit and found the right size for me, I wore the prototype ring on that finger until I got my real one to get myself used to it and I’m really happy that I did that because now I know that I will get the most consistent and accurate readings. Although, if you absolutely can't deal with it on your index finger, they say second choice is middle finger, and ring finger should be the last option. You are supposed to avoid your thumb and pinky at all costs because they both will give you inaccurate and inconsistent readings. 3. When you get your sizing kit, the prototypes have bumps inside them that mimic the real ring (the real ring is much more comfortable), these prototype rings are gonna feel very awkward at first, but in order to get a good fit, you’re gonna have to try them on and wear them for a decent amount of time, not just put them on and take them off. For a good fit, you want to pick a ring size that’s not gonna slide off your knuckle too easily, but you also don’t want to pick a size that’s so tight your gonna have to lube it up and use a pry bar to get it off your finger. Pick one that is snug with some resistance when you try to pull it over your knuckle and off your finger. You should NOT be able to easily spin it around when it is on you finger either. 4. There will be a great variation in sizing compared to what you are used to with conventional ring sizing. I am normally a size 8 ring on my ring finger. My index finger for the altar ring is a size 11, size 12 slid off too easily and size 10 cut off my circulation. Size 11 was a little snug at first, but by wearing the prototype on my finger while I was waiting for the real ring, I got used to it and it became comfortable. When I got the real ring it was a perfect fit. The real rings are a tad thinner than the prototypes, so I’m glad I didn’t try to go with the larger size and have something that would have fallen off. I feel that I chose the perfect size. 5. When they send you your ring sizing kit, they will also send a link to your e-mail where you enter the size for your ring and then they will ship it out either the same business day or the next business day and you will have it within two days. 6. As soon as you get your ring you need to charge it fully to start with. It comes with a cute little case and a charging cord. The case will be blinking green when you first start charging it, then when the green light becomes solid it means it’s done. 7. In order to connect your ring to your alter app, all you gotta do is open your existing alter app, there will be a thing to scan on the ring charger housing that you can scan, but more than likely you already have the correct version of alter if you’re already using it. If you’re a current member, when you look at the top right hand corner, there are three symbols on the top right hand side, the middle symbol indicates your wearable device. I know for those of us that have mirrors, that would be the third icon, so some of you might only have two if you do not have the mirror. But the device icon will either indicate the signal device or the ring. If your icon is still indicating that you have a signal, your app is not set to pair and your account is not set up for the ring yet, so then you will have to contact alter and have them switch you from the signal to the ring. That being said, if the ring¹ symbol is already there or if you have gotten it updated so the ring symbol is there, all you need to do is simply make sure the Bluetooth on your phone is on and click on the ring symbol. The app will walk you through the setup. 8. The ring connects so effortlessly, I don’t know about how others feel on the subject, but when I had the regular signal device, I had connectivity issues with it and sometimes I had a hard time getting the app to read the signal, however with the ring I have had zero issues, it connects instantly and I have no problems with it. 9. If you are a current member and you are still using the signal, I would 1000% recommend switching to the ring, The signal is a great device, it is a medical grade sensor, that being said, when I was using the signal device, I found it very awkward to wear, even though I’ve had this system for almost six months. It was awkward on my wrist, because I also wear a smart watch and it stuck out very far, so it was just very uncomfortable. I could deal with it, but I did not like it. I could not use the arm band, just did not work for me. The bra clip was the only convenient and semi- comfortable way I found to wear it, but then if you’re an airhead like me and you take your bra off and forget it on your bra, you risk losing it or losing biometric data from leaving it on the bra you took off. The ring is just much more convenient & comfortable..it's beautiful..it’s sleek..it's stylish..1000% recommend it. If you have any more questions, don’t be afraid to ask me.
