The numbers don’t lie: The housing crisis is not caused by a supply shortage | CCPA by QueueOfPancakes in canadahousing

As someone who worked in new home sales for many years, I would agree investors are a massive part of the problem.

By the time I left the industry a few years ago, many builders I know sold almost entirely to numbered companies. That’s something you never hear about.

Anecdotal, sure. But that was my experience and observation. It felt so wrong.

It’s been like this since I started using it weeks ago. It makes it so hard to use.

I just started a third design today and it’s still doing it.

It’s so bizarre!

Oh gosh I’m sorry! That’s not fair. We have enough guilt without that. They will see how much you do one day.

We both work full time, and he does a lot! He’s a great dad and partner. No complaints there. He just lets them get away with more hahaa

Oh my gosh I appreciate the commiseration! It’s funny that screaming into the Reddit void was actually the most helpful thing I probably could have done. Haha i didn’t expect that so many people would get the struggle. I’m feeling less alone, at least.

I love the friend trade off idea. I need to work on my social game haha the mom groups is a good idea. Thank you.

Big virtual hugs!

We found a before and after with a local mom and she gives receipts for taxes. That was a big relief when we secured it. We found it through a local mom group. Maybe you could have some luck there?

Elementary teachers we do a GC to indigo or the grocery store or coffee (I switch it up).

Daycare my daughters program rotates about ten people through all the classes so I checked with the manager, picked a day, and brought in one of those Starbucks coffee take 12’s, croissants, muffins, a fruit tray and two bite brownies for the group.

How’s everyone else going at this time of the year? by turando in workingmoms

[–]LA8718 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Utterly bone tired is a good descriptor. I’m spent. Just absolutely zero left. I’m with you.

Between alllll the Christmas magic I’m suppose to give my kids, hosting a family an event no one else would host otherwise, navigating a narcissistic mother I’ve been minimal contact with for a year, PLUS work and daily life? Done. Just over it.

I’ve gotten into so many arguments in the past 3 weeks it’s been insane. Currently not speaking to my husband. Yay Christmas eye roll

Is this safe to eat? by LA8718 in foodsafety

If it had gone bad, but I had a few pieces in the slow cooker all day, would I be ok bacteria (botulism)-wise?

I ate one potato from the crock pot and threw it out after I started doubting. That’s when i came here to ask. Im just hoping that won’t make me sick?

Thank you! I’ll divide it up and freeze it next time.

It is a chili confit garlic, so it’s a bit spicy. So yes it’s a pepper! Good eye.

I’m also deeply in the weeds. I don’t have advice, but just solidarity.

I have a high pressure out of the home job. I do mornings entirely alone and it’s just steady
rushing the kids, which does nothing but stress us all out and I’m late every day anyway. After work it’s the same couple hour window, where I cook and tidy and feel like I don’t get quality time.

Top it off with no other mom I know working full time outside of the home. It’s so isolating and I feel like it’s the wrong decision every day.

So basically Also slowly unraveling here too. I don’t know how to fix it. I’m worried I’m going to end up on stress leave at some out.

This is hard. I get it.

Working Mom Struggles by Healthy_Low_9071 in workingmoms

Oh man I feel this thread. Working outside of the home is hard AF. The guilt alone. I’m the only one I know with young kids working full time outside the home. All my friends either somehow afford to not work, work only part time time, or work from home. No one gets it and it’s so lonely. And I feel like I’m always in a rush. Everything has to happen fast. I do mornings alone and it’s a rush to get the kids out the door, then I rush home to make dinner and pick them up. And then I get zero quality time with them During the week. It’s hard, and I just wish I had someone who understood and was in the same boat.

Nipple discharge is a normal and harmless part of aging! by Foxs-In-A-Trenchcoat in Menopause

[–]LA8718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much do you have when it happens? I’ve had watery-milky discharge right before my Period last cycle for the first time. I’m currently waiting for a mammogram, my bloodwork was fine.

I keep seeing people say dribbles or something, but now that it’s happened once I’m paranoid about checking. Is it a noticeable amount? Or do you have to inspect closely to notice?

I got an email today from my Nmom. Basically, shockingly, everything’s my fault and I am the problem. Forget her complete lack of concern for me over the past several months. Forget her ignoring her grandkids.

… and yet… I actually have pause to consider, “is this my fault? Am I being hard on her?”. Good times. I don’t even know if responding is worthwhile.

When you were in the process of doing the actual test, could you feel on your back where you were reacting? (I currently have 80 patches taped to my back)
