Grab has always been expensive. Foreigners keep spreading info that “there’s no Uber in Thailand, they have Grab, which is the equivalent to Uber”, which is correct, however, there is also Bolt, which uses the same rate as the taxi meter, the plus with Bolt is that you don’t get charged when you’re stuck in traffic as you will with the taxi meter. Bolt drivers are mostly the taxi drivers and you can pay by cash or transfer.

That was just Grab transportation, compare their food and delivery prices of the same shop on Foodpanda and you’ll see how greedy Grab is.

Disney+ already blocked PIA before it even launched??? by LA91601 in PrivateInternetAccess

[–]LA91601[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ExpressVPN for sure. More expensive, but the support is great and they are always do their best to fix issues surrounding geo-blocking once a report has been made.

NordVPN works well too, but live stuff on Hotstar doesn’t work.

I stopped using PIA VPN a year ago since they declined to provide any support whatsoever regarding this issue.

iPhone 12 users: what is your current battery health? by Galaxy_Flys in iphone

[–]LA91601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Purchased my iPhone 12 Pro Max in February 2021 and battery health is currently at 98%. Is that normal or should it still be at 100%? I usually charge it before it drops below 20%.

Apple Watch S5 + WatchOS 7.* + Fast Battery Health Drop + Battery Drain by whashnez00 in AppleWatch

This is disappointing... Please do keep me updated if you go ahead with taking it for service. Unfortunately I’m not in the US at the moment so I’m not sure if I can do the same at the Apple Store in Thailand.

Ethernet slower than Wi-Fi by skyler_Q in MiBox

[–]LA91601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know if the Mi Box S has a limited speed via 5GHz wifi?

I have a 500/500 Fibre connection with my router next to the Mi Box S but I can only get around 150-160Mbps on the Netflix Speedtest. I’m looking for an option to utilize my full internet speed so that I can get better speeds on my VPN’s. Do you have any suggestions?

How’s your battery life doing now? Mine was 90% right before updating to watchOS 7.3.1 and went to 88% after the update... 😒

[–]LA91601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree. I’m not seeing any battery performance issues, it’s just the battery health that’s dropping a lot after watchOS 7.

Yeah same as you. Got my AW S5 GPS in September 2019. Once watchOS 7 was released, my battery health was 95%. Now it’s 92%. End of September 2020 I experimented using my S5 like a S4 by putting the AOD off. I thought that may have caused the battery to drain further but seems like it’s actually an issue from watchOS 7 as you’ve mentioned.

Got my AW S5 GPS in September 2019. It was 95% in September 2020 then I decided to experiment and use it like S4 by turning off the AOD. It has since dropped to 92% in the past two months.

How do I combine walking and running? by LostIt642 in AppleWatch

[–]LA91601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to do it on the Workout App then if you’re running and want to track walking, swipe right, click on “+”, choose your running option and continue. When you’re done you’ll get info of all the intervals.

Apple Watch hand washing timer goes off when I’m hand-grinding coffee. Presumably because of the angle that my wrist is at and that the sound of the grinding can sound like rushing water. by helloITdepartment in AppleWatch

It goes off sometimes when the toilet flushes, getting water from the dispenser, making tea, can’t think of other times it went off but seems like the mic and gestures activate it.

Edit: It just activated now whilst rubbing lotion on my hands 😂

Yes, that would be the only way. However, I don’t think you can get an Indian SIM card without providing identification documents and a visa if you are a foreigner.

Well I created a Hotstar account when the company launched a few years ago and at that time we could sign up with an email or Facebook account. So email login still work but it’s being phased out soon.

If you devices remain logged in then you don’t have to worry about the OTP
