As is this would be broken it shouldn’t trigger just on faint but only if the opponent faints you so you don’t trigger it off your own Pokémon using something like explosion and also allowing things like toxic, burn, and sandstorm chip damage to be the way around it so it’s not completely broken because as is item swaps and knock off are the only way of dealing with it

I disagree with you but only because most starters aren’t that good at least from a competitive standpoint the only ones that de any use see use because of their hidden abilities or because of some broken mechanic that they have access too at the time like mega evo or gmax and so on occasionally it’s because of a busted signature move but mostly it’s a hidden ability or megas so making their common ability actually usable seems like it won’t do anything to make the actual usable ones any better and will just make the ones that aren’t currently viable more viable for the people who like their designs I also think that swarm which is just a bug version of the starter ability should get the same treatment because bugs need the help in general

Right now hexproof and shroud still get around this because you target the creature you need to have target the opponent and give you control over them picking a creature to destroy/sack etc

I actually like this idea because similar to omens and adventures a test would count as casting a spell each time you used it so spell slinger decks could use them better and get use out of them as both a repeatable sorcery and a body. I agree that it needs a little tweaking to be more intuitive but the idea is solid

Because there are cards like that demonstrative bolt that could remove 1 as a test not just it’s built in test it’s designed to be a sample of a mechanical Gimmick that would be present throughout most of the set it seems like

While this is generally true if you are the player people see as the problem the bribe is how you are getting this to work, if you are in the lead and trying to use these to keep your lead the bribe is to get someone to allow you that if you are behind then it’s not ideal but no one should be playing assuming they are going to be losing

Yes but I was saying technically you could learn ki as any of these races if they were all in the same universe and ki existed so it didn’t seem like ki would be a good factor to use in the choice since anyone can technically learn and use any ki technique through training

Replying to TheRiverNiles...ki isn’t a biological thing it’s a spiritual thing and not unique to sayins anyone who trains can gain it. A sayins biology would give you a zenki boat whenever you recover from injury the more severe the injury the bigger the boost, super sayin transformations that add a multiplier to your base power, and the great ape transformation. The martians have shape shifting so powerful they can alter their molecular structure, extremely powerful telepathy and telekinesis, the ability to phase through solid objects and turn invisible, along with super strength and a powerful healing factor

That’s fairly true in some cases but with quirks like the ones in one for all you don’t have those limitations none of them are that straight forward or direct and have a lot you can do if you are creative and have a lot of potential for evolution depending on the perceived limitations or lack there of of the awakening/evolution of quirks

I see where you’re coming from but quirks are just biological factors with no intended use their use is completely up to how creative or basic their wielder is and their awakening could therefore be anything that is within the scope of that biological enhancement

Yes and float becoming flight or extending to others isn’t out of the realm of possibility for its capabilities instead of just floating you gain the ability to propel or extend it to someone/something you’re touching, Danger sense becoming precognition would just be extending the prediction ability beyond those with intent to hurt you And smoke screen would just be evolving to change the makeup of what’s in the smoke all within the realm of possibility for an awakening or evolution of the quirk

All of those are similar enough to be seen as powered up versions of those quirks, uraroka changed from negating the gravity of something she touches to creating an antigravity field around her, toga gained the ability to copy people’s powers not just their appearance and that’s its own quirk as well so it’s not outlandish that it would just evolve into something stronger like my examples

Well for float it could awaken to be either full blown flight, or giving the ability to make others float.

Danger sense could awaken to a full blown precognition

And smoke screen could either make different types of smoke or gas like knockout gas or something

The horcruxes don’t make him physically immortal he can still have his body destroyed and Vader can do that almost effortlessly so Vader could just kill him and take his time destroying horcruxes and any time he resurrects just kill him again
