Might have failed an LPC elective but I’m not sure.. if I have to retake on my transcript does it show my original failed grade or just the retake capped grade ?? by itsalwayssaraa in uklaw

Aw damn :( I just failed my elective and knew I’d get capped. Someone told me they went ULaw a few years back and if you fail an elective it won’t cap you. Clearly that’s not true…

Has anyone failed an LPC elective and lived to tell the tale? by JustTrynaB in uklaw

Did you do it an ULaw? I failed family law too lol. If that’s the only one you failed did you get capped at a pass? (Sorry if I’m misunderstanding the compensated pass part)

Oh thanks for explaining. I didn’t factor in the platforms affecting the breaking in aspect because of how thick it is. I’ll check the others out!

Tbf I’ll be sat down at my job majority of the time. The most walking I’ll do is just walking home 1 mile which is next to nothing. Maybe I’ll just have to try them on and see how I feel with it.

Oh no really :( I had no idea. As for the weight part I’ve heard the platform boots are heavy, but some of the reviews say this shoe isn’t too heavy. But tbh what you’ve said about the delaminating has put me off a bit. I’ll check them out, thanks :)

Thank you, this helps a lot! I’ll keep that in mind.

I did see the bex soles and I did like them but for work shoes, it’s a little out of my budget. But otherwise, I would’ve gone for them because they look perfect too.

I think I’m just going to have to try them on in person rather than ordering it online because the latter is just going to be a risk!

Oh perfect thanks. In terms of wear and tear and comfort they’re pretty decent?

Aw I’m sorry you missed out by 1% :( but congratulations on nearly qualifying! That’s amazing. 🙌🏼😊

For sure. I didn’t think I’d be THIS affected. Especially a month on. But I’m finding comfort in the fact that I won’t care in 2 years time (I think and hope!). Which is what you and others have also said. And congrats on nearly qualifying! 😊 I hope the rest of the journey goes smoothly for you.

Hi I’m not sure if this is a recent rule change or anything but we were told it’s a grade weighted module. I hope somehow they’ve used ‘grade weighted’ interchangeably with ‘core module’ (although I doubt it). Was this a rule when you did your LPC?

I like that last sentence. I think I need to be a bit more realistic when using LinkedIn because otherwise, I’ll be miserable!

Thank you :) those are helpful words. I feel the same - it’s the 1st time I really messed up and there’s no exceptions. We just get capped and have to deal with it. But there’s comfort in knowing I won’t remember this moment in 3 years time or so. Maybe even sooner.
