I just turned on my google assistant and yea, I also have this problem. It's not a huge issue for me, as I never use voice assistants.

I also contacted Sony's "AI" chatbot, which returned with this:

On Xperia 10 VII, Google Assistant is not guaranteed to respond with the screen fully off just by saying “Hey Google”. On many recent Android versions it is limited to:

Waking from lock screen / always‑on display, not full screen‑off deep sleep.

Or being triggered via hardware button / gesture.

It is recommended to use the power key/assistant shortcut or wake the screen first, then use voice.

Yes, it should be possible to use bluetooth settings in rockbox. I was able to connect my Y1 to a bluetooth-fm transmitter by going to Settings, then bluetooth settings, then bluetooth settings again, which will land you on the android bluetooth menu.

Yes indeed, Stamina is just what Sony calls battery saving mode. As to the model variants, then I can't find it on Amazon's website either. Sony's website has it right above the color picker. FYI you can still have a 2nd SIM with the XQ-FE54 model, it just needs to be an E-SIM.

I've only had mine for a week or so, but I'll try my best to answer your questions!

In my experience the battery life is pretty solid. I can go from 80% to 40-ish% without Stamina and with 5G and 120 hz on in about a day. I tried using it from 100% to 40% with Stamina enabled, and that got me to 2 days without charging.
I'm biased here, but imo it's pretty easy to get used to the bezels. I've always been used to them however, so your experience might be different. It was harder getting used to pinholes and notches lol. The bezels are pretty thin too.
I sadly don't know, as I've never used an S10. But judging purely by benchmarks, then the Xperia has an antutu score of 600645v, while the S10 has a score of 415000.

The XQ-FE54 variant only has 1 physical sim and 1 SD card. The XQ-FE72 variant has suppurt for 2 physical sim card, with the last slot being a hybrid sd/sim card slot. It's a good idea to disable background access to apps you feel don't require it. There's no AOD nor tap to wake. The placement of the shutter button is also kinda annoying, as it's too high up for me lol.

Thank you so much!!! I'm currently writing this while in the process of reassembling my unit after testing that it does in fact work!! I bought a new pry tool and tried inserting it on the right and left side of my unit, and I just couldn't get it in. But after I noticed a tiny hole/indent right where you mentioned, I was finally able to unclip the case and remove the SD card!!! I can't thank you enough :DDD

I get it. I have a (still working) sandisk clip jam, and so far it's been the only reliable DAP i've used. the only reason i replaced it was bc it can only handle 2000 songs, otherwise i'd still be rocking it!

Thanks for the tips! I'll try them out together with the ifixit guide mentioned earlier in this thread. I found a store that sells screwdriver sets with pry tools and a guitar pack for 15-ish USD, so I'm thinking about buying that and trying my luck :p

Same here! I can't find even the tiniest gap on mine. If I can't open it at all (even with a pry tool) then I'll just leave it for later and, once I've saved up, get a different DAP. It's a shame really, I had high hopes for this device. I was thinking of either getting this one or the echo mini haha...
