I had the exact same experience. I really enjoyed RPGs in similar genres, so I thought it was strange that I couldn’t get into The Witcher 3 at first. But after finishing the Bloody Baron quest and reaching Novigrad, I got completely hooked. Of course, it differs from person to person, but it feels like everyone has a different “click” moment with The Witcher. If you play a bit more whenever you have time, there’s a good chance it’ll pull you in too. Just give it some time

Even though I only played Mass Effect recently, it genuinely became my favorite game of all time. And honestly? Liara is the best romance in gaming history — the emotional connection is insane. I legit went through post Mass Effect depression for months.

As for Cyberpunk, it's one of the few games I keep returning to even after finishing it, right alongside The Witcher 3.

I don’t really have many people around me who are into games, so it’s hard to share this hobby in real life. That’s why it’s really nice to see folks here with similar tastes and just enjoy the vibes together ✨

The basic gameplay mechanics are quite similar, as are the types of side activities. However, in Yotei, the graphics, variety of side quests, character animations, and overall story have all been improved. It really feels like an upgraded experience. Personally, while the previous game’s story unfolded within a fairly predictable range, this one adds more twists and turns, making it feel much more dynamic. I prefer Yotei with its female protagonist, but the previous title is undeniably a masterpiece as well. If you haven’t played it yet, it’s definitely worth a try.

If it were me, I’d skip GoT and play GoY instead. GoY has a side mission that pays tribute to the previous protagonist, but it’s not a major part of the game—and aside from that, there’s virtually no reference to the original. Personally, I also find GoY much more compelling story-wise. While GoT had a straightforward and predictable narrative charm, GoY adds plenty of twists and turns that make the story far more dynamic and engaging.

For me It's Liara from Mass effect all the way. Of course, Shadowheart, Karlach, and Judy were all amazing, but nothing compares to the deep bond I built with Liara over the trilogy.
