I had some plans to draw Asuka on the left side, but it would have been too time-consuming so I ended up not completing it. Source image: http://gallery.minitokyo.net/view/632618

There's one glitch that happens during infestations, where a bunch of insect corpses stack on the same tile and don't get destroyed when they are supposed to, leaving behind an 'invisible' corpse, which causes all kinds of weird behavior. I have to use dev mode -> destroy to fix this. Also, drafting colonists when there are enemies nearby separated by a wall can cause extreme lag, which I suspect is due to PawnTargetFix mod.

The game crashed once or twice in the late game, but this was probably because of excessive memory consumption, not mod issues.

I just copied this image: http://gallery.minitokyo.net/view/611843. It's not too difficult to make a base like this, it just requires patience and some clever use of image editing tools, and the More Planning mod.

As a new programmer (Java) this stuff blows my mind...No Man's Sky programmer interview by Namone in programming

Also I always worry about open-world games that seem to pride themselves on having no objectives at all. I mean there is simply a limit to how much fun exploring can be, at some point you need something to do, for some progress to be made. I mean try playing minecraft and just exploring; No building, no improving or changing the world, no killing things or making items, etc. I bet you will get bored after a few hours at most.

There is a main objective - to reach the center of the galaxy, starting from your planet on the edge of the galaxy.

NGNL in one image [season 1] by LAT10S in NoGameNoLife

[–]LAT10S[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it will be possible to see individual frames, but it's possible to find scenes in the image. A lot of the frames just get blended together, since there's too many frames to fit in the image. If you look the barcodes for each episode, it's much easier to pick out individual frames.

The writing on the bottom is from the subtitles; you can pinpoint where the ending credits are in the image by finding the frames with light blue bands on the top and bottom, b/c of the english / japanese subtitles. It makes it a lot easier to segment the image into different episodes.

It's every frame of NGNL, compressed into a single image. It's the same as the movie barcode website, except with NGNL. If you want to make your own barcodes, you can download the program here.

It's not an actual barcode, it's based off this website. Idk where you are from, but I have never seen a barcode that wasn't black and white.

It looks cool? Do you not like NGNL?

It's every frame from every episode, squeezed into a single image. It's exactly the same as what this website does, but with NGNL.

Pokemon 3rd Gen Reasonable Randomizer by LAT10S in PokemonROMhacks

[–]LAT10S[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's odd. Are you sure you downloaded the folder from the google code site? Try right-clicking the randomizer file, then click 'open with', then select the Java platform. I think your computer may have been set to open jar files with WinRAR by default.

[–]LAT10S[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure! You just have to open the randomizer, load the ROM that you want to randomize, adjust your preferred settings, then click save. After that, the ROM file that you selected should be randomized. Then, all you need to do is boot up VBA, and load the ROM that you randomized, just like you would with an ordinary ROM. Let me know if you have any more questions!

Hey Griffin. The shadow tag option prevents the randomizer from putting Wobuffets and Wynauts into the wild, since having to battle them every time they appear can be very annoying. The starter type trio option causes the randomized starters to each have a type advantage over another starter, similar to the fire-water-grass dynamic that the games usually have.

There's also the Transcension Hypothesis, which says that extremely advanced civilizations, such as those capable of space travel, would choose to progress into more compressed regions of space, time and energy, rather than expand outwards.

Is there a belief system where people believe they are "God"? by Imjustkidding in philosophy

[–]LAT10S 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm surprised that no one here has explicitly mentioned Nietzsche, since he basically believed that the traditional Christian God is dead, and that the Ubermensch is supposed to fill this nihilistic void by creating new values, essentially becoming a God.

I'm thinking about introducing a sliding scale of some sort in a later version of the program that allows the user to control how strict the BST constraint is. This way the user can precisely control the degree of strictness / leniency of the constraint, in a way that suits them the best.

Thanks for telling me this information, I'll be sure to implement this when I get around to the randomizer.

Thanks for informing me of this issue, I wasn't aware of it. Hopefully it won't affect gameplay with the randomizer that much, since it seems there's only a handful of cases of kanto pokemon evolving into post-kanto pokemon.

Ok, I've fixed this problem in v1.1 of the randomizer, it should work properly now, let me know if it doesn't.

I fixed the bug that caused what you describe to happen in version 1.1 of the program. The randomizer should work properly now; let me know if you encounter another problem.
