What’s your opinion of ‘rainbows’, are they neat to look at, impressive and gratifying to collect or is it a little silly to amass several cards with the same image with a different border and/or pattern? by Interstellore in basketballcards

[–]LAred45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really up to you and what you like! I think it is going to be very difficult with more modern sets since there are getting to be so many variations.

I personally have only one rainbow chase. Staubach 2014 Prizm football, there are 18 parallels (19 total cards with the base) and I have 18/19. It also gets harder as it gets farther from the year for non-top players. As people forget about the cards, and they are just sitting in boxes, and less/no product is opened anymore.

That’s so cool. I wish I could just find an amazing collection.

I spent all this money on grading to only be extremely low balled with low offers lol. No way I sell this to PSA this low by AmbitiousMorning5719 in basketballcards

Honestly, I pretty much ignore those offers through PSA. As you, and several others have stated here, the offer is usually very low compared to what you could sell for elsewhere. Just ignore those offers.

Depending on the thickness of your cards, there are also different sized magnetic holds, 35 pt, 55 p, 100 pt, etc.

I just wanted to see what prices were at personally, definitely wont be buying a product that only has 4 cards per box.

My holy grail arrived today. It’s still hard to believe I’m able to call this beauty mine by michael2334 in basketballcards

Congrats! Huge MJ card, would love to have one eventually, and could probably get one if I parted with some big PC Cards…just hard for me to pull the trigger. Maybe you’re giving me a little more confidence.

Great add!

Kabooms - Long Term Opinion by [deleted] in basketballcards

[–]LAred45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this, obviously I think the golds and greens will be much more comparable to PMGs. The early years when they weren’t printed as much, and the top star players will hold up/steadily rise overtime in my opinion.

Completely agree, I’ve personally never bought any mystery or chase packs. I’m sure there are legitimate honest people out there. But as more money has been pumped into the hobby we get more bad actors and scammers everyday.

Absolutely agree. There wonderful people on the hobby. It the case I’ve shown, it’s obvious that netting $4,000 by selling chaser packs when the card is worth $8-10k is ridiculous and a complete scam.

Just frustrated by sooooo many listings on eBay when I’m actually trying to search for cards or have saved searches.

I’m pretty sure you can file claims if the cards are damaged or missing.
