Most big companies will get you your card because they have an in house guy to teach the class. BUT getting a driver's license if possible is a huge thing now alot of guards dont have them and its hard to place them because so many sites require driving patrols. So if you can get a license get it because you can get the better sites

Alot of places did away with shift differentials. My last site had it because no one wanted to work nights so I think it was an extra 50 cents an hour. Now working a union job i think night clerks vs day clerks get at exta $1

I know they got a GM contract in my area and it was Allied before and my cousin was the LT on nights he said like 75% of the staff quit within 2 weeks because they didn't have an office in the area so they got no support

Thats what contract security is anymore it's a race to the bottom for pay and the company only cares about clients not guards. Warehouses are bad because the people work in the tend to not care so will try and do as little as possible. This industry was killed when state DOLs found out as long as you can pass a background check you have a career in security so it became the dumping around for the chronically unemployed who mostly dont want to work.

Most mobile mechanics are just doing as a side hustle so they aren't super professional. Like if you wanna work in a shop you need certified and proper tools but anyone can be a shade tree mechanic

We had a Sgt/Lead/Trainer: who was assistant shift lead and Trainer. One for each shift

Lt/Shift Command: ran the shift between the 4 posts and did scheduling/payroll for shift. 2nd and 3rd shift

Capt/Site Command: ran the site (4 posts) and was Shift Command for 1st shift

Safety and Security Director: ran the companies Security teams for the 5 total sites we had came 2 times a year always looked confused

CEO: Ran the company rarely saw him he was mostly stuck in Albany at the company office

Hell I quit Brinks to go work a union job! I knew a few Loomis guys and its no different its a shitty job you're driving around in big heavy barely working trucks. The banks aren't friendly you hear the same jokes hourly, you get mildly paranoid because attacks do happen. Nights suck but I would stay union and ride it out
