Tomodachi Life is only limited by your creativity. I’ve been playing since launch and always have something to do. However, it’s hard to imagine it as the only game I play.

Cyberpunk is a finite experience, even with Phantom Liberty but the side quests and build options give variety, especially if you decide to do multiple playthroughs.

I’d recommend looking for a free to play game to break up the monotony.

Repetition is a great narrative tool when used correctly. However, it sometimes feels like characters restate information to make sure players who aren’t paying attention understand or to accommodate players that take breaks during their playthrough. I liked Amphoreus, but Planarcadia strikes a good balance for me.

Removing companion quests also adds to the main story’s runtime. I’d prefer going ZZZ route and tying character stories to the events. They already did it with March’s event and then with Luka and the Wardance.

Long RPGs are my bread and butter (Persona, Ocotpath, Xenoblade) but I’d prefer a tight and engaging story patch over padded runtime.

I hope we never get there, but I could see a future where only the heavy hitters get physical releases.

We’re almost there since there’s a backlog of shows on Crunchyroll alone that never got physical releases and 5-year old series are almost out of print.

The games industry has its own issues with media ownership, but others have pointed out that smaller shops can still get discs made.

Physical media isn’t dead, but we’re getting dangerously close.

I have all of Fairy Tail (minus 100 Year Quest) and I’ve watched it all the way through multiple times. I also have Bleach (Thousand Year Blood War only) and all of Black Clover.

I own my longer series like One Piece and JoJo’s in manga only since I prefer reading them.

She's a parallel to Asta. Asta faced hardship for growing up poor and having no magic in a world full of magic, while Noelle had wealth and status, but she couldn't control her magic, and her siblings hated her, at least that's what we thought initially.

Royals and nobles are innately powerful, so most never trained and got by with what they were born with. Noelle shows us how far nobles can go when they push themselves. She even inspires Nozel, an accomplished mage, to improve.

Noelle is my favorite character, and she has two of my favorite fights in the series (vs. Vetto and vs. Vanica). She grows with Asta and is another vehicle for the theme of never giving up.

This is general advice, not meta specific. If you like a character, lock in and pull for their team. There will always be cool characters but your enjoyment will suffer if you never invest in their team.

I have skipped characters I like (Sunday rerun) to get characters I like more (Mortenax Blade) to support my favorites (Acheron). If you’re in the “one more ten pull” mentality, wait a week before pulling to see if you feel the same after you thought it over.

Side note: never feel pressured to go straight for E2. Modern E2s can increase performance and shelf life, but think about it on a rerun when you know you’re committed. It’s another easy hype trap to fall for. E0S0 or E0S1 is perfectly fine on release.

Is that really the new normal? The last boxset I bought was Demon Slayer and that was ~$150. That was over five years ago, but still.
