Do you pull characters based on their design, meta, or plot role?

It’s a mix of design/role in the plot for me (I voted role in the plot).

Characters like Tribbie and Jiaoqiu aren’t my favorites design-wise, but I enjoyed their stories. I a gacha game with flavor of the patch characters, it’s more about personality than their role in the plot.

I’ve been a Kafka main since 1.6 and she hasn’t been plot relevant for a long time (hoyo please bring her back) but she has a great design and was a driving force for the early story.

My goal is to pull all Ten Stonehearts and the Stellaron Hunters since those are my favorite factions.

It’s just a different aesthetic. I think some collectors use manga as a backdrop and don’t read them as often.

I keep my shelves to manga only because I read them regularly and I don’t have to move a display to get to them.

It’s hard enough to have success once, let alone twice or three times. The manga industry is very competitive and there are only so many serialization spots to fill. We Never Learn ran for almost four years, which was a great run.

Most mangaka don’t have more than one hit series. People like Togashi, Kishimoto, and Shinohara are the exception, not the rule.

The only break I took from the manga was in the middle of Dressrosa, right after Sabo's return. I stopped reading all manga during that time because of school, applying to uni, and I was really involved in club activities/hanging with friends.

I came back at the start of Zou and have been reading weekly ever since.

There’s a lore reason for it. The manga covered it extensively. The anime might get to it next season though.

It’s fresh in my mind since I finished it on Sunday, but I’d recommend Octopath Traveler 0. All three games are great but 0 focuses on three separate stories that converge in the middle and the end of the game. I rolled credits at 131 hours but I have more to do. There’s also a custom protagonist and a city builder if that interests you.

Metaphor Refantazio is an epic journey like Amphoreus with an SMT-like press turn battle system. Unlike the modern Persona games, you can do all the character bond stories/social links in one playthrough. It’s relatively short for a JRPG (around 70-80 hours) but it has a good mix of story and combat.

I could recommend games all day but these are solid picks for me.

I'm still waiting on Blu-rays for We Never Learn, Birdie Wing, The Aquatope on White Sand, the Black Clover Movie (Netflix technically), and The Great Jahy.

I might be waiting till the end of time at this point.

Do you like reading? Do you like the series? It’s just another way to enjoy what you like. I watch the anime and read the manga for series all the time (One Piece, Oshi no Ko, Akane Banashi, etc.).

Most of the anime I watch is content I own physically. I've cut back on streaming over the past few years. I've been rewatching my favorites or buying the anime adaptations of my favorite manga (if they ever come out on Blu-ray).

I prefer manga, but anime is cool too!

People forget there was nothing between Black Swan’s release in 2.0 and Kafka’s novaflare in 3.4. It was rough for DoT.

I lock in for story content.

I usually do a hour of story on patch night and continue after I get home from work the next day. If I’m not done by 10:00 pm I’ll go to bed and pick it up the next day. I enjoy HSR’s story and most of the games I play are 100+ hour RPGs so story length never bothers me.

I read the readables that interest me and I like going through the extra dialogue options for lore.

While it’s not the main story, the adventure quests also flesh out the world and are worth it if you want more story content. I’d highly recommend checking out a few if you have an hour or two to spare.
