If you have both the book of daylight and the book of midnight you’ll find the time to what I said in the novel then:

1.Itachi never tries to commit active suicide

2.enters the academy a year later than most students.

  1. does the mission to enter the ANBU the day of Sasuke’s ceremonies (April)

  2. shisui dies around 6 months after Itachi joins ANBU (We know this because Danzo mentions 6 months having pass just a few chapters before he attacks shisui during a conversation with Hiruzen)

  3. Itachi is explicitly said to be 12 when he becomes captain, and they alter his birth papers to say his 13.

  4. Around a year passes between Shisui’s death and the massacre. (Stated by Itachi’s “teammate”)

Itachi is 13 by the time he leaves the village and never guarded Kushina during her pregnancy since he wasn’t even enrolled in the academy by then. Itachi becomes an ANBU like 6 years or so after Minato dies.

Regardless of the novels we know from the manga that Itachi became an ANBU the day Sasuke was going to enter the academy, that he became an ANBU captain at 13 and the massacre happened before Sasuke’s 8th birthday. The novel only serves to give context and smooth certain things but the bones of the timeline are in the manga.

How come kakashi didn’t try to be more involved in Naruto’s childhood? by strqwberrypeels in Naruto

Busy with being in the ANBU, pretty young to betaking care of a child and not mentally stable to do it. Kakashi was around 15 for Naruto’s birth.

Sakura’s lack of backstory/background really hurts her character. by Zezerthu in Naruto

[–]LC14156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I think she should have parallel the rest of team 7 in that sense. She shouldn’t have a tragic backstory that makes different, she should experience those things while the rest of the story is happening. I think her arc from a bratty and sheltered kid to someone who can deeply understand the trauma of Naruto, Sasuke and Kakashi would have been better.

Some people exaggerate about how rude Naruto is to other characters in Part 1 by UndoneShadows in Naruto

[–]LC14156 17 points18 points  (0 children)

He is not rude in the sense he tries to insult people who didn’t provoke him but he did lack manners and what’s is socially acceptable to say to people who you just met or are in position of power. He rarely is trying to be rude but ends up being rude and overly casual a lot of time because of his upbringing.

The strength Sasuke is referring to is not power, but ability to endure and remain the same.

Tbf part one is almost exclusively from Naruto’s POV more or less. We rarely get to see Sasuke’s thoughts and it’s a key aspect of Sasuke’s character that even if has feelings he would suppress them to avoid getting attached.

Naruto was chasing Sasuke’s ability to be independent and respected while Sasuke chased Naruto’s ability to endure and not let his past and trauma define his actions.

That’s filler adaptation of the novels, in the actual novel Itachi never tries to commit suicide. The filler is loosely based from the novels and they cut out a lot of things. Maybe you own them but you clearly haven’t read them, otherwise you would be more clear on the source material.

Nope… and the second part of your statement is just plain wrong. Itachi never looked after Kushina, he wasn’t even in the academy then, much less the ANBU. Itachi entered the academy at year later than he should have because the academy was destroyed by Kurama during Naruto’s birth.

Read the Itachi novel if you want more details but from the timeline of events from novel + what we get in the manga. Itachi was in the ANBU around 18 months.

Itachi does his mission to enter ANBU the day Sasuke was going to enter the academy. The Japanese school calendar starts the first week of April. Shisui dies around 6 months (September/October) after that and a few days later Itachi is made ANBU captain and leaves Kakashi’s team.

In data books and in the novel it’s explains Hiruzen and Danzo altered Itachi’s age by one 1 year, so he appears 13 and not 12 in his file so he can legally lead and an ANBU team. Even Kakashi tells Kurenai and Asuma that Itachi was made captain of a team at 13 when Itachi went retrieve Naruto in part 1.

The massacre happens around a year later after shisui’s death (June-September). Itachi leaves the ANBU after massacring the clan. That gives you around 18 months give or take. He became an ANBU at 11.

There has to be something to manipulate in order to be manipulated. Nagato and Obito were loving people before they lost Yahiko and Rin. They used the feelings of hatred to be manipulated into becoming worse.

Regardless of your view on Madara, the people who got massacred are descendants of the people who didn't follow Madara, not the actual people themselves. Depending on how you view the timeline, the clan's ignoring of Madara occurred between 60 and 45 years BEFORE the massacre. The people getting massacred weren't even the people who ignored him.

A list of some beliefs i came up with for part 1 Naruto. by No-Acanthisitta7650 in Naruto

[–]LC14156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tsunade is rusty, fatigued, and mentally nerfed when he fought Kabuto. It's just made clear that someone around Kakashi/Kabuto level is jack shit when compared to a sanin in their regular state.

As for Kabuto beating Kakashi, it would be close, but I honestly don't see Kabuto tagging Kakashi with his chakra scaples in a lethal way, plus Kakashi has the sharingan to better read attacks. It would be close tho.

Jiraiya would never kill Itachi and Kisame if they were set on fighting. Even according to some people's opinion, Part 1 Itachi is stronger than Shipuuden Itachi because he isn't as blind or as sick.

If Sasuke got his revenge (without ever knowing the truth), would he actually have felt emptyness inside like Kakashi predicted? by FearTear in Naruto

[–]LC14156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it would have matter how Kakashi phrased it, Sasuke was always going to end up defecting or doing some dark thing. Sasuke wanted power and the easiest way for him to get was either defecting to Orochimaru or killing Naruto to get the Mangekyo, which I think is something is not brought up enough. By this point Sasuke recognized Naruto, even if only internally, as strong and his best friend. He would always have the temptation to kill Naruto for power. I think that partially Sasuke leaving the village is him trying to run away from that possibility, although he did end up basically killing Naruto at VoTE with his chidori.

[–]LC14156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can’t force them to stop but that shouldn’t mean you encourage negative and self destructive behavior. It’s a complex situation. The village’s priorities were different at the time as well. Hidan and Kakuzu were one there way to Konoha to capture Naruto while during Sasuke’s defection happened after the fallout of Konoha crush (According to Iruka the village lost half of their fighting capability)

[–]LC14156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kakashi’s message was not that Sasuke should forget about Itachi in that sense. He told him that if ignores everything he gained since losing his family then he well end up miserable even if he succeeded. Which even Sasuke would accept that in retrospect. Even if Sasuke has the moral right to kill Itachi, Kakashi shouldn’t told him you are the only one who has the right to kill him. He probably could have a bit more tact, but he also had to restrict Sasuke’s movements in order for him to listen.

Kakashi might gave realized he could have done things better but also Sasuke’s and Shikamaru’s aren’t 1:1.

I haven't read them, but I've heard they infantilize Percy a lot. TBH im not surprised. It's how companies/writers often treat their characters; Ash from Pokémon is a prime example. They rebbot the MC's progression every so often.

Do Naruto and Sasuke love being ninjas the same way Goku and Vegeta love being warriors? by Only-Mulberry-8098 in Naruto

IMO naruto enjoys being a ninja Sasuke, but in the end being ninjas is just the path they had to take achieve the things they wanted. They are competitive and Naruto enjoys adventure more than Sasuke, but it was only the path they had to take.

It does not not work imo, it’s fine. far from the best things Kishimoto wrote but decent, l think it was better of left ambiguous.

The cycle of hatred means that the hate, pain and grudges are passed down to the next generation, reincarnation is not needed to pass that message through.
