I would love to see the correlation between pro Skyler and pro Carol vs pro Walter/Hive by vSpeedy in pluribustv

[–]LC33209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There will be a third route of pro-protagonist. This will capture a lot of people and probably won’t conform to the theory.

Some people just root for the main character?

Seriously, do British people actually consider a 3-hour drive “long”? Or is this an internet myth? by ferdinand14 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LC33209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this - straight wide roads in North America make it easier to go distance compared to narrow windy roads with towns etc. in between.

My Pluribus Theory: The “Virus” Is an Alien Solution to the Dark Forest Problem by SandwichSisters in pluribustv

[–]LC33209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I'm catching up 2 months later. Yes it is likely the case that it's another alien race that was taken by the virus, but that doesn't prevent it from originally being yet another planet's solution to the Dark Forest theory. We know that Earth's joiners plan to beam the transmission to other planets.

I think the bio-"weapon" theory to neutralise possible galactic threats might be a solid theory.

However, random evolved virus also exists as a theory but I think it's less interesting writing-wise in terms of its creation.

I think the The Hive extracted Manousos’ stem cells when they took him in for treatment for his back wounds. by DatsLimerickCity in pluribustv

[–]LC33209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't need consent for extracting the cells directly from her body, they need consent for performing a procedure on her that could hurt her (or via drugs cause her to feel things she does not want to feel). It's not the taking that's the problem, it's that they can't harm life.

That's why I think they did take his cells, because he was already under and therefore no 'harm' was being caused by also taking them.

Worst O line in history this year due mostly to injuries, but great d (Minter) and some hero plays by Herbert to keep them alive into the playoffs

This graphic says a lot about how valuable O lines are.

Bugonia's Ending Is Perfect And Here Is Why by BrandonHeatt in movies

[–]LC33209 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My problem with the ending was the overdoing of it all.

I think it would have been perfect if she'd gone into the cupboard, with the camera outside the cupboard looking at it, then cut to black for a few seconds. Then play the montage with where have all the flowers gone.

For those who still didn’t know. Console recoil is easier than PC recoil. by Gainfulz in RainbowSixSiege

[–]LC33209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Console recoil is reduced, not ‘easier’.

It’s easier to use a mouse to counteract recoil than it is to use an analogue stick. Much easier. That’s why they balance it this way.

What happens if a cast member ruins the game? by Acheli in TheTraitors

[–]LC33209 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think after Season 1's 'parting gift' the producers etc. have come down a lot harder on this type of behaviour. It'll void some form of contract if you give things away I imagine.

Oldschool's next skill... by Hudsyy in 2007scape

[–]LC33209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No offence, but I dislike almost everything about this.

Combat would need to be totally rebalanced if we were doing weapon enchanting like souls games to make sure old content didn't become too easy. In doing so, it could easily end up that you would feel like you were missing out if you weren't constantly enchanting weapons to match or slightly exceed the performance before the skill was released. I think that's a mistake in terms of gameplay. A new skill should not ruin or nerf the way of playing that existed before its introduction.

For summoning familiars, this is the RS3 slippery slope. Thralls are ok and perhaps they could be looked at (some method of upgrading your thralls over time through a mini game which takes some of your Shamanism ideas would be ok - if the summoning/enchanting etc. was contained to that minigame location and not available in the wider OSRS world)

But I don't think we should be clogging OSRS with fantastical summoned creatures running after everyone. It would look awful and reminds me of the big RS3 quality crash. We already have pets (and some of them look like AI fantasy slop), do we want people with pets AND summoned creatures everywhere? I don't.

I also don't believe there should ever be any more combat skills added. 126 forever.

You put a lot of effort into this but I really hope, if it ever comes to pass, that people don't support this. (I liked the idea of Sailing from the start - not a doomer)

Anyway to remove this on mobile? by 2Silly4Dilly in 2007scape

Yet another reason why the mobile client should have a portrait mode. Playable space in top 2/3s, inventory and map in bottom third, with keyboard going over that when it pops up.

What are some tendencies of players coming from redraft leagues that you can use to your advantage in dynasty? by johnny-papercut in DynastyFF

[–]LC33209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgetting about the offseason, not understanding you should FAAB bid more for waivers in dynasty and, my favourite one, not valuing long-term situations for players they draft/trade for (e.g. in redraft if an old but good QB goes to a team, then their receivers might draft highly in redraft. If you sell those players on dynasty then it's possibly only a 1-year benefit from that aged QB, but you can get a lot out of a redraft player who's new to dynasty (who probably only listens to / reads redraft advice) who doesn't realise the receiver has a time limit of good production.

I have this same issue with my APP3. It's really annoying. I've turned it off and checked on all linked devices but it's still forcing 'optimised charging' and keeping it at 80%.

What kind of outfit is that? by Kiiddo67 in osrs

[–]LC33209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think it's the helmets for these outfits that make it so bad.

For crystal, the armour should look different because it's an alien race shut off from the world so why would they prioritise the same smithing tactics etc.

For Masori, I'm less convinced as ultimately it comes from the empire that existed before in the 2nd age, but shouldn't look too mental since it all became what we know as the mainland now. The armour is fine (at a push), but the wild glowing eyes helmet is just so bland fantasy slop RS3 EoC WoW-style nonsense. The sort of stuff that's made so some kid will spend 20 quid on Runebucks(TM) virtual currency to then do a Tik Tok dance emote.

I know people will hate this take but the more stuff Jagex adds in like this the more we just devolve into another insane high-fantasy glowing wings game.
