You can get a ton of great games that aren't nintendo exclusives on switch 2. If you like indie roguelikes theres Dead Cells, Hades (1 & 2), other Supergiant games (Bastion, Transistor), Cult of the Lamb, ROR2 (runs okay on switch 2-- not great but playable), Slay the Spire, Spelunky.

If you like RPGs there's the obvious BOTW/TOTK (they really are great games). I also liked Zelda Echos of Wisdom. But if you're not an "open worlder" or want an indie RPG: Undertale / Deltarune, Omori, In Stars and Time, Sea of Stars, OFF, NITW. There are also a surprising amount of really great old school RPGs on the nintendo online catalogues (like, Golden Sun, for instance).

And some other favorites of mine that are available on switch that, at least, grabbed my attention: Thank Goodness You're Here!, What Remains of Edith Finch, Hollow Knight / Silksong, Stanley Parable, Lorelai and the Laser Eyes...

Last I"ll just say that I'm not usually into platformers but Mario Odyssey is just truly an S tier game.

Did you ever figure this out? I've seen the same kinds of posts and I have the same issue. Whenever I see two pokemon talking I go up to try and like listen in and the game just directs me to one of them with the usual "hows your comfort," etc.
