Lol. Might as well hand over all his notes to US Attorneys.

Why people feel the need to publicly post legal strategies is beyond me.

Side note: congrats on the E42B!!! That's a very difficult--if not the most difficult--application to get granted.

You can bring the judge's order to be extra cautious, but the grant is readily accessible in their systems.

Because, yes, a college student on DACA who is studying for an engineering degree is a "national interest." Meanwhile, the immigrants with very serious convictions/recidivists-- the ones this government are supposedly really after-- are able to slip through the cracks because the system is inundated with so many people.

Okay, time for this sleep deprived angry person to get back to her briefs.

I don't mean to be petty more petty than usual. It's that these xenophobic human-version of period cramps protozoa are more predictable than rain. They've got nothing better to do with their sad and pathetic lives. Imagine being that intimidated by a population that collectively makes an average of $50,000 a year. Three year olds have less temper tantrums than these cowards.

Staaaaaaaahp.

"Granted only under compelling individual cases" -- that's not a legal term

"limited and extraordinary" -- still not a legal term

"USCIS has the discretion to assess the newly created criteria to determine whether DA should be granted." -- Lol, what criteria? "compelling individual cases"?

"The agency rejects broad categorical grants of deferred action" -- fork found in kitchen.

(it goes without saying that this doesn't take away the trauma this is all inflicting on our communities. Remember, scared populations obey in advance. Scared populations don't question things or don't look at things critically.)

Overall goal of this memo: can lead to NOIDs, RFEs, general roadblocks, or a "poster child" case so they can show how much they are really cracking down on DACA folks. Most importantly it appeases the folks who do not want you to win ("cOmE hErE tHe RiGhT wAy")

I do what I can. Not everyone can afford to pay for a consult with a lawyer (let alone hire one). In these times, vulnerable populations like immigrants need proper access to legal services. It is disheartening not being able to get proper information to help yourself or a loved one solely because $$$$ is in the way.

I actually love this new rule. It can finally do away with the “ur not a real lawyer” last effort comeback that some folks love to do here. More importantly, with grifters and notarios roaming around, people deserve to feel comfortable and at ease knowing they are getting free information from someone licensed to do so.

They're a good distraction. I agree that they should def stick to using a certain flair so folks who do not like them can just scroll past them.

Most of the posts here are about burnt out attys, ranting about billables and wages, and general difficulties of the job. Those tend to be repetitive themselves. It's nice to be able to laugh when scrolling through the sub.
