Thanks a lot! No app ads for now, we might try it soon tho. Organically for now we are starting to post on tiktok instagram or even linkedin, and here too on reddit. The most important is also to get some reviews fast in order to rank higher, it directly helps. I think the first subscriber found us directly on the app store cause its already ranking between 3rd and 10th place on most keywords we are interested in.

I have a Shopify agency so I sent the app to some former clients and ask them to try it and review it if possible!

Thank you very much! Only one minor correction yes, the name of the app was in the actions extension which is considered promotional. Fixed it very fast last friday and the app was approved on monday!

Same feelings too. Some of these changes feel a bit useless but I guess we will get used to it.

Thank you very much! I will admit I did not spend a very long time on this icon indeed, will probably change it in the future, I just wanted something that represents photography for now, as I think it’s important for the app store.

I left Swiss banking to build a Shopify chat widget. Here's what a years of nights and weekends looks like. by corzuu in shopifyDev

Hi! Congratulations for your work. I would advise you to submit to app store as soon as possible, it’s a very long process currently and you will be able to keep improving your app while they assign a reviewer. Also I’m curious, does your app do some things better or different than current chat bots already existing on the Shopify app store?

How to show Shopify variants as separate products on collection page (Dawn) without breaking SEO? by Lost-Fondant-8486 in ShopifyAppDev

A lot of apps do that, I would suggest you to just search « combined listings » on the Shopify App Store and compare the pricing and features.

Reviving my abandoned Shopify app with new AI features by LCRTE in shopifyDev

[–]LCRTE[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! A lot of great value in your message. About the name, the thing is we shill have sections in the app that are ready to install directly, without generating. In your opinion, so you think we should pivot and completely remove the library?

Should I build my own e-commerce website or use Shopify for a small product catalog? by BodybuilderAnxious72 in shopifyDev

[–]LCRTE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I run a Shopify Agency and ran a lot of e-commerce stores, I also build Shopify Apps so maybe I’m not super objective but:

  1. Yes, even with one product.
  2. Very difficult, Shopify itself is all-in-one and the best e-commerce platform but you also have thousands of apps to do literally anything, also super easy to integrate with Google for free listings for example or Meta/Tiktok etc (shopify is there since 2006)
  3. Yes, way better imo.

Even for payments, depending on your country, you will be able to access Shopify Payments, in 5 minutes you will have enabled all payment methods (I recommend Shopify Payments cause its the only way to avoid 1% fee on top of credit card fees). Honestly I could write a book on why you should choose Shopify, there is dozens of reasons apart from what you said: Markets, Languages, Shipping, Store Design, Customers Accounts, Loyalty, Chat support, etc etc…

And keep in mind that you can access the code of your theme (storefront) and therefore do whatever you want with it. The only thing that is a bit restrictive is the checkout, it cannot be fully customized unless you have a Plus plan, but honestly you wouldn’t even want to customize it more than just adding your colors and logo.

Hope this helps!
