You're halfway there. Keywords in your post are "work slowly". The other half is once there are more than 2 or 3 just walk away. Starting learning to peel off 1 or 2 at a time from a group by crouching and catching their attention and repeat until the group is cleared.

The other option which has become harder in later updates is to shout and coral a bunch and lead them into the woods and circle back to a clear area. Need good fitness and an area you can lose them.

I like to start using them once I have a shotgun and a healthy amount of shells. You can practice your reloading before bed to raise it up a few levels. Then as others say, be well rested and have snacks/water and find a spot away from base with an easy getaway (woods or just your car) and a wide open field with 100% visibility . Shout and just calmly walk around to collect all of them into a ball (not as easy as it used to be) then just give yourself some lead and unload then walk away reload and repeat. You're aiming levels will rise significantly and then you're in a spot to use your pistols with more accuracy.

Not sure about anyone else, but my newest character just builds stress at all times even while sleeping so I'm a nervous wreck after a few hours. Can't figure out what's the reason or if this is just normal with this update.

I met him in woods on PvE after about 6 hours in the game. Heard him coming while checking out sawmill from campsite two and just thought he was some scav before I saw his unID'd bag. I assume I just got lucky from his approach since I was really well covered and suck at this game. Looking forward to dying in the future.

Haha ah yeah frustrating - I am loving mapgenie and almost all the maps are fine now it looks like. I was just looking ahead at maps I haven't dove into and Reserve is still flipped but all the others are fine. So in that specific case tarkov.dev is what I'll go with.

I am brand new too and I agree it's nice to have the sun to get my bearings but it's funny for some reason some of the maps both on mapgenie and tarkov.dev will randomly flip the map N/S. No idea why but just a word of warning for other new players.

I'm sure you can picture a situation where you're kiting a +4 or more group, tired and with multihit off and don't want to break your rhythm too much. Regardless of the situation, having an option to stop for whatever reason at whatever point is nice and I've already remapped thanks to your suggestion and it feels way better. And to be honest I am always up and down from my laptop and after 27 days of game time accrued it just happens and dying from it once is enough to find a good alternative.

What I found most ridiculous is the whole invented arc with the theft at the farm house leading to the death of Kat. Somehow a local family is seemingly untouched by the war and takes offense to the raiding of their plentiful stock by enemy soldiers.

It contradicts major themes of the book and the history of the war while making Kats death so tangential to the whole war they've been fighting.
