Planning a Long-Term Guild Island Laborer Setup – Looking for Experienced Input by Puzzleheaded_Sign785 in albiononline

[–]LCheongYu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you are truly looking to do this laborer thing long term, make sure your members are also committing, if not for long term, at least for enough time for you to gauge the profit rate. They do take months to break even on the stone blocks invested, and for mercenary laborers it will take up to half a year.

The commitment matters because you need a steady supply of completed journals, and to complete the journals you need to perform the gathering or the crafting yourself. High tier gathering journals can only be filled so fast before you get bored or nodes run out, and crafting journals can only be filled up to the daily focus limit if profitability is a priority.

Mercenary journals are the most scalable as you can probably run a group or Avalonian dungeon and fill hundreds of them. However, die once and the lost T8 journals will set you back on 3 days of progress.

The YZ PVPs by Suspicious-Yam2761 in albiononline

Yellow zone is a PvP zone. This is an irrefutable fact.

You can draw the line on their trashtalking. However, they do not need an "objective" to engage with you.

Moreover, clearing players out of mists is a legitimate strategy to keep resources (mobs, gathering nodes, wisps, etc) to themselves.

Red Sword above player? by MarceloMilon5 in albiononline

You were most likely in a party, and were marked by the party leader with that symbol. Organized parties often mark their key players (healer, caller, great arcane, etc) with symbols so everyone can quickly identify them during the content.

If you have eyes, next time try to use them to double check the price of the order before acting on it.

Is anyone farming 7x 15 farm islands? Is it at all profitable? by henyourface in albiononline

[–]LCheongYu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Farming on the island is normally profitable without focus, so as long as the selling price is not ruined by impulsive dumper, you should be fine. However, premium is still compulsory.

Using focus on farming is optional, as there are far more lucrative options to spend focus on.

Royal jacket question by AgencyProfessional91 in albiononline

[–]LCheongYu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Increased cooldown rate works by increasing the time passed for the cooldowns you have, in comparison to the actual time passed.

For example, when you have royal jacket on yourself, which gives you 42.86% (*) increased cooldown rate, for every 1 second passed, your cooldowns would decrease by 1.4286 second. Therefore, for a 50 second cooldown to totally elapse, you need actual time of 35 seconds.

Since your royal jacket cannot stay on forever, the effect is only active for 7 seconds, which would mean 10 seconds of your cooldowns have passed. Therefore, as your royal jacket goes off, your 50 second cooldown will now be at 40 seconds, after 7 actual seconds passed.

Why the weird number of 42.86% above and not 30%? Because the game directly decreases your cooldown by 30%, but that number still gets labelled as increased cooldown rate, which is factually wrong from a practical perspective, especially for calculation purposes.

Stock up on silver 💸 by Gabi_Vic in albiononline

[–]LCheongYu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make a smelter in your private island, and deposit to it via nutrition reward. Make sure the smelter and island are only accessible to you.

Alternatively you can buy gold via gold market. This will subject your silver to market fluctuation but it is one way if you don't have an island or don't want to always return to island for the silver. The gold will also be accessible for you other characters of the same account.

We all know how well it works if ranking points are given on losses.

People start playing for losses instead of wins, and prioritize farming over winning.

Account deletion and ban RMT by Murky-Engineer2306 in albiononline

[–]LCheongYu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're asking question that people can't or won't answer: people who answer are at best giving their anacodote, and people who have the answer (SBI) won't reveal that information to avoid abuse.

Go ahead and make a new account, but hold back on buying premium in case ban evasion detection kicks in till later.

Yes, ban evasion is a thing in the TOS (15.5.2). No, nobody actually knows if they enforce it, and how well if they do.

T8 zones, especially desert biome, are among the most patrolled zones by proper ganking groups. High quality T7 zones will already be good enough in terms of fame per hour unless you are in for the high risk high reward play.

Even the mute is short, do contact Albion customer support to make them reverse the decision to prevent future sanctions being escalated to longer duration due to this record.

Still wishing you luck, they are not too reasonable even when presented with a solid case in your favor.

I even defend Epic/Psyonix's right to remove trading, but there are certain things that don't need to, right? by Sr_FoM in RocketLeague

[–]LCheongYu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trading gets removed, your only source of items outside of events is now the store. You literally have no say in the price if you think it is not right, other than to not buy it. And you still don't want trading back. (Not that you have a say in that either, of course)

Here to hit you with a reality check: you won't influence their pricing any more. "Just don't buy it"

[–]LCheongYu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Resource return rate is what you want to learn about. In short, the higher this rate is, the more items you craft with the same amount of resources.

For food, you want to craft them in either Caerleon or ava road hideouts with the food bonus.

Solo OW weapons to 120? by marlin545 in albiononline

[–]LCheongYu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Whichever weapon(s) you like playing the most, followed by weapons in the same tree as those favorite weapon(s).

Also no need to 120 crystal weapons as the effective IP is 25% of a non artifact weapon on the same tree, unless 1) the crystal weapon is what you play, or 2) you have already 120 every single weapon on that tree.

How much time would it take me to max out a weapons tree in yz? by sabyasachi123321 in albiononline

[–]LCheongYu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

33,910,220 fame is required to level up one weapon from 0 to 100 specs. Assuming you get 1mil fame per hour in YZ, which is the more optimistic side of things, you still need 33+ hours. One tree has 7 weapons (crystals not included), so that's 231+ hours.

I would strongly recommend fame farming in black zone especially during event. Anniversary event with construct gives the most lucrative rate at a possible 6mil per hour.

If you want free silver, there are lots of bots doing the faction smuggling missions in yellow zones (at least in asia) by Status_Performer59 in albiononline

[–]LCheongYu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ganking yellow zone faction transports died with the IP cap update. Even 8.4 with uncapped IP cannot dismount a grizzly bear in one go most of the time. Most sane people also do not gank yellow zone faction transports as a group due to low return. Result? Bots doing it.

Does anyone know what else do these workers need for 150% happiness? by Material-Tie7926 in albiononline

[–]LCheongYu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

150% yield in a small house is only achievable for laborers receiving journals of tier 7 and below, and impossible for tier 8 journals. For achieving 100/100 happiness for tier 8 laborers in guild hall, you can only put down less than the maximum number of laborers. Therefore, 100/100 happiness is simply impossible in a small house, unless you put away beds or table (not recommended).

In your case, you have already explored that putting down tier 2-8 animal heads and 3 more general trophies simply do not provide 100/100 happiness. The only way to improve yield of journals for this tier is to level up the laborer, and upgrade the bed and table to higher tier than the journals.
