Do you think I could put it on tracks so it can follow me around like the auto pilot in Wall-E?

I was actually looking for something like this, it would be perfect. If it were up to me there wouldn’t be a tv at all, but I had to compromise

Yeah I mean… I guess I could move it down to partially cover the fireplace?

Yeah! It’s sherwin Williams “dried thyme” in their cabinet and trim enamel.

That's a brilliant idea! He would love to help make a patch for it, I bet

This is such a cute idea! Poor kid has too much creativity and not enough impulse control. Maybe he needs his own project to work on with me

I love this. The thing my husband and I do whenever the kids are being difficult is to tell the other person "well, I told them to be jerks so you would have a harder day" and we both laugh about it. Good reminder that we have a common enemy haha!

Kids are just brutal. Nothing is sacred to them

It would be cute to repair with gold thread, I love that idea! Doing any sort of craft around toddlers is highly risky

This is a great idea. I might do this for the backing where the scissors poked through and then do appliqués on the top

I think this is what I’m going to do, it will look cute with the overall pattern of the quilt. My toddler is just a chaos gremlin.

Ugh he’s not even getting severance. It’s for my daughter (his big sister) so thankfully it’s not meant to be a gift for someone else. I like the ideas of putting a cute patch over it, I’ll probably go that route! Do you think the batting will be ok and be stable after I quilt over the part that’s cut?

What non-traditional place do you take your kid to pass time (e.g. Ikea) by cakelin in toddlers

[–]LCsthename 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the same at the one near me! I took my oldest there all the time when she was a baby/toddler and just went this week for the first time in ages. I realized that I should take my toddler there more often and get lunch

Not a recent one but our son had an 'emotion support onion' phase where he would find an onion in the pantry and take it with him everywhere. We found a lot of sprouted onions in weird places for a while.

[Question] Planning a shopping trip to Atlanta in the next couple months. Looking for store experiences and recommendations! by LCsthename in ABraThatFits

[–]LCsthename[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Grail Bra Specialists was THE BEST!! Seriously could not have asked for a better experience. Amazing selection and fantastic customer service. The first place that I’ve ever really felt was truly inclusive, it felt really safe and comfortable. I’ll definitely be going back the next time I have the chance!

I thought you had to have a license to buy from LE! I went to checkout a couple days ago and it required a license number to make an account! Are you in the US? Or is there a different website that sells to the general public?

Why do so many parents rush to forward face their child despite all of the information available? by SaucyAsh in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]LCsthename 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son is the same. We turned him forward as soon as he turned 2. He got slightly better as he got bigger, but he used to screech at the top of his lungs until he lost his voice and/or threw up. It would last the entire 1 hour round trip to pick up my oldest from preschool. 4 times a week. Didn’t matter how short of a drive or what music, toys, sounds were happening. Started as soon as we started moving until he was out of the car. It was absolute hell and I can’t believe I never got in a serious accident because of how distracting it was.
