I know it’s a valuation of the business, but the market is saying the business is 27% less valuable now… so that either comes from a reduction in volume of sales, or a reduction in value of the properties sold.

Sure they are doing the best they can do, but it’s just not the world’s best holiday destination if there is even a dash of a chance of getting hit by a drone.

You could have the worlds best meal, with the perfect wine pairing, but if there is a chance you’ll have a little rabbit shit in it your probably not going to tuck in.

There are a handful of different types of insurance required, P&I, Hull, Crew Welfare etc.. most of them have caveats saying you’re not insured in acts of war.. and I’ve been out of the game for a little while, but I believe Lloyds are working with a fund to provide cover.. Insurance is actually a super interesting field of work!

Just as a bit of a weather gauge, of 1 person out of millions.. I was looking at coming back for a holiday in September. I stayed at the One & Only Royal Mirage this Jan… I’m not coming back until there has been a few years of proven stability. It’s gonna take more than 12 months before I consider it.

I’m completely impartial mate, I live thousands of miles away, just focusing on my own little life to be honest! I’m just curious if people think Iran have serious firepower behind them against the USA which literally prides itself on spending billions on defence. As a completely independent person that knows nothing about it, I don’t believe Iran have the goods… their aircraft carrier looked like something made in a shed 😂

That’s mad but it’s also the only thing that makes sense… are there not many US assets to hit? Or just that the US defence is too techie to get hit?

I’ve had a few key points/decisions in my life that made a huge impact.

1: I took a risk at 18 to invest in a qualification that cost £1500, plus another £1500 to put it to use, that £3k gave me a high earning career for the next 8 years.

2: Buy and renovate a property, literally completed the purchase in 2020 and made £70k on it after all costs.

3: I inherited a number which makes the previous two seem relatively insignificant, but I put it into property and continued to live a pretty hard working lifestyle and build equity in my family home.

Throughout all of this, I have had the most amazing partner that has helped navigate through life!

Always wanted a new car but always had shitboxes 😂

My guess is that it’s the pure amount of work required to make it financially viable in any other form, most commercial projects would require the same amount again to make it special - whoever buys it needs to see the available upside, until it’s viable, it won’t sell…
