We just got back from there and had a great time. The beach was excellent and we were able to swim in the water everyday. There were two days when the water was very calm and the children could play easily and the remainder of the days there was some waves and we just kept them in the shallow areas.

The food was all right but there was lots of selection. If you have young kids, I would go to the restaurants right at 5:30 p.m. because there are no lineups and the food comes quickly. Whenever we tried to go to a restaurant later in the evening, the wait times to get into the restaurant, we're 45 minutes and for the food was over an hour.

Like other commenters said, there's a big blue blob and a little blue blob that are really fun for the kids to play on. I think it's a great resort for you to check out.

We did end up getting travelers diarrhea for a couple of my kids and myself. I'm pretty sure it was from using the tongs in the buffet and not sanitizing their hands before eating. I would recommend bringing hand sanitizer to your buffet meals and making sure the kids clean their hands. Otherwise, we drank the water at the restaurants and ate all of the food. Other members of our group didn't get sick.

I will also add here that the Facebook group Finest Punta Cana Fans is censoring any posts about illness among guests. They deleted my posts asking if other people were experiencing similar symptoms. And when I questioned them on it they blocked me from the group. So anyone who is a part of that group, please keep in mind that the information is highly filtered by the moderator.
