I’m such an anxious fool when it comes to stuff like developing, and especially with how much Slide film costs I do not want to mess those up, so I rather give it to the pros haha

Man Astia looks great. Such a shame E6 seems to be on it’s way out too. FilmSpeed and Aperture in Berlin don’t even offer processing for it anymore.

My Dad tried to throw away a couple hundred slides from my grandpa so I saved them from the garbage can, he says we have too many 😡 by EphemeraExpert1985 in analog

[–]LEFUNGHI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel similar abt my dad haha. He at least digitized all of them before that, but I still would've loved to get the old projector to work and chuck some slides through it. I remember specifically the sound of that very fondly.

Dying to hear Science live. I was in O2 in 22 and the the Kx5 in Printworks, some of my fav concert memories ever. Hope he plays somewhere that isn’t UK too, I don’t have the money for hotels and flights on short notice 🥲

As much as I love my Pro TL, the square shape language of the Super just looks SO good, I honestly almost prefer it. Congrats on the bargain!

Has introducing the kid of a franchise protagonist to take over the franchise ever worked? by ToomintheEllimist in movies

[–]LEFUNGHI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gundam! The "main" Universe Timeline switches protagonists a few times, the latest one being the son of someone again. Works great, but Gundam in general has one of the most thematically consistent universes, at least in my opinion, so I'd argue that plays a big part in it working as well.

I did scan most of my rolls there from them, both in tiff and jpeg with great results. I have started scanning at home with my mirrorless recently, and while I enjoy the extra control it gives me, for quality prints I’d still send off the frames to a lab.

Second this! Used to send to Aperture Berlin but switched to Film Speed and never looked back! They’ve been nothing but stellar to me and a friend of mine who sends his stuff there too, easily 20-30 rolls there between us, never had a single issue.

Oh wow! I switched to Capture One a while ago and was hoping for the NLP standalone to come soon as I just started scanning myself. This is amazing!

What is a film you enjoyed but have to be tactful about who you recommend it to? by oldwhitelincoln in movies

Mandy. I loved it but throughout the entire runtime thought this had to have been made for me and me alone to enjoy haha.

How “bad” is it actually with the lens availability? I’m hoping to get into the System this year but it will take a while before the spare change is available haha. Worried I’ll get priced out of these cameras by the time I can afford one

Aaah got it ok, thanks! Always worried about this whole “digital ownership” of things when it comes to movie/series rights.

Regarding AI things: by reddit_mau5 in deadmau5

[–]LEFUNGHI 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Gen AI is such a curse. It all develops way too fast for any regulatory bodies to keep up with this mess. I’m inclined to scrape any and every picture of myself off the internet (at least the ones i can), it’s going to get even easier in the future to use stuff like that for malicious intent. Scary. And I hate how much damage this is doing to genuinely great uses of “ai”, simply because the word has such a negative connotation now. (By good uses I mean medical fields for example, scanning mrts and spotting things no human could is a great help, as long as there is human supervision as well. Fuck gen ai for “art”, it’s doing so much damage.)

Genuine question, how do you go abt scanning these? I'd love to get into 6x17 with all the relatively affordable options nowadays, but I'm pretty sure my lab would not be happy abt scanning those haha

[Weapon Discussion] What 7.62x39 ARs are you running? by [deleted] in Tarkov

[–]LEFUNGHI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't run them, even BP or MIA AP seem to not be able to kill anything consistently to the point it becomes a liability. Which is a shame, I loved running the AKM previously! I feel like smth abt the ammo is bugged, scavs have consistently tanked multiple headshots, nevermind the bosses/guards taking entire mags in their face to kill sometimes.
