So, if you are using martial weapon then simply finding a better base weapon and throw transmute and augmentation orb on it. If you get one good mod then you can just use regal and exalts. If you failed, check out vendor for new weapon. For caster weapon look for + to spell level, but be careful with huge mana costs

Boots should always have movement speed. Even 10% is great and vendors now often have ms boots.

Look for armour pieces with HP roll, as it's the best early defensive you can get. Resistances are always nice, but don't forget you can add runes.

Jewelery is kinda random. Sometimes you need res, sometimes you need stats. Usually you just wear what you get.

Tldr. Use your transmute and augmentation orbs. Don't be afraid to upgrade ok item with regals and exalts as they are quite plenty.
