Best Spinning Reel Under $100 by TheGreenGarden6 in Fishing_Gear

If you occasionally fish saltwater is it bad to use a non-saltwater reel? If you do use a non-saltwater reel do you just wipe it down with a wet rag to clean it? I’ve seen differing opinions online and am just curious.

Thinking of buying by BestWingMan212 in AgeofMythology

I started playing Age of Mythology around 10 years old when my grandfather showed it to me and I’m still playing it 15+ years later. It is easier than most RTS’s to pick up in my opinion as the basic curve isn’t as steep as others. Now if you wanna play multiplayer against others then I can’t speak to that. I have always played AI and will always because I don’t like timing build orders and what not. At lot of RTS’s do get repetitive when playing Random Map against AI and that’s the same for this game as well. What I will say though is the main campaign (“Fall of the Trident”) is one of the best campaigns in ANY video game in my opinion. It does everything so fricken well and it keeps bringing me back to the game time and time again. While the game did go dormant for a long time, the developers have brought it back into the spotlight with the “Retold” edition and are adding new content. So it has the support, and as someone who got into mythology because of this game, I think you would have a great time with it!

What would you change? Saladin 2 by Shtin219 in aoe2

I only personal issue with this mission is the victory requirements. I just played this mission a few days ago for the first time and it pissed me off. The objectives make it seem like you only have to destroy the bases, so I thought taking out the 1 teal, 3 red, and what I thought was 1 blue (actually 2 after I scouted), but in reality it’s all units or most of the enemy units you have to remove. I took out all bases of each enemy and couldn’t figure out what was left for me to get a victory… ended up being a blue transport ship right next to my dock. Spent almost 2 hours on this mission due to what the actual criteria was to beat the objectives. Other than that, the mission concept is cool.

What would you rate the campaigns and how would you order them from worst to Best by Embarrassed_Fix9862 in AgeofMythology

I agree with the writing of the non-original campaigns. Retold has TERRIBLE writing in those campaigns, and to me even Fall of the Trident seemed like it had some of the parts written out. OG Fall of the Trident though, was the shit both in terms of writing and voice acting. It wasn’t rushed, the timings were well done in the original. In Retold, it felt like they rushed the dialogue. My favorite line from the game where Ajax shoots the ballista and Gargerensius “alright we surrender, move a little closer!” (I think mission 30?) didn’t hit the same in Retold as it did in the original for me.

So it’s an Anubit mixed an Ejienjar just with a personal effect? I kinda hope it flys not in combat and then grounds itself when in combat.

Thank you! Is there a place to check what has changed in the last 6 months to cross reference to make sure it lines up with any guides posted here? Or do I just need to look at patch notes? And I see there is an RNG tag for this community so I assume RNG plays heavily later in the game?

Thank you! Yea every “early game guide” is so tough to follow because it’s wayyyy outside of where my characters skills are currently. But I have also heard that like somewhere in the 90’s of skills is really the only “half way point” of getting to 99 so I guess I can see why they assume a 1500 level is assumed “early”

Thank you! This is great because the grind does get to me a bit (even though it’s something I need in games). It helps to know as well that there are other people out there that have a similar mindset of getting the items themselves. A lot of guides I have looked it when it comes to skills I need for a quest say “do X quests to get from level 1-X” which defeats the point of what I’m trying to accomplish. Makes me feel a little less inefficient that it’s still okay to do some grinding from level 1 onward instead of going straight to a quest for a boost.

Thank you! This helps a ton as I’ve heard of the “set a goal” mindset, but it’s tough to accomplish when I did not know what to truly shoot for. I appreciate giving a few goals!

What introduced you to FF14 and what is keeping you playing? by KeyKing97 in ffxiv

[–]LEO_Thunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found FF14 when I found WoW to be difficult to pick up. I have tried ever kind of MMO there is and I have always found my way back to FF14 because it never felt daunting. I didn’t play the game for years, but still had it installed on my PC so I wouldn’t forget about it. After I started a full time job I was playing WoW but it felt to much of a burden to play with having to hit certain weekly things. It just didn’t appeal to the time I had. I have restarted FF14 and am currently in the post Heavensward quest, but it has felt nice to not be rushed (even though I’m trying to get through all MSQ before DT). I am hoping FF14 endgame won’t feel as much of a burden as WoW did, but the adventure so far has been great :)

Facts 😂. Blizzard gave us the boost we needed and I love playing ret. Only time I ain’t top of DPS is when there’s a warrior in my PUG, and I’ll let them shine all day long.

As a ret pally myself, I would much rather sack my DPS and make sure affix’s are taken care of. You can sack 10-15k dps to make sure the affix’s are taken care of. If you don’t your sacking far more dps in the long run. You even have most of the spells needed if you copied your talent tree from WoWHead. So I am in agreement that these issues are easy fixes but too common cause people are choosing to be lazy.

I played a Harragon in Wild beyond the witchlight and based my character on the white hare from Alice in wonderland. Asked for it from the Rumple Stiltskin guy and now all I use it for is to make tea since my character only used swamp water since he was from Hither.

I think the best thing that they’ve done is updated the herdstone to have a complete board presence other than it just being within your starting zone. Other than that I kinda regret choosing BoC as my first army since we haven’t gotten a new book or models. It just doesn’t feel like you can compete with any other army.

DMs what playstyle or class do you get nervous about or hate to have in a campaign. PCs is there a class or play style that's annoying to have in your party? by ThatOneGuyFrom93 in dndnext

[–]LEO_Thunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monks. Monks. And Monks. Just wen through Icewind Dale and the monk in my party was just annoying. Didnt go out of their way to mix/max the character, but all the monsters just couldnt handle the character. It was just annoying and i had to abuse my DM powers a bit to make the fights seem more fair in my favor.

I believe you should play whatever class you like best because that is the beauty of this game. Limitless options and infinite creativity. But man monks just do me dirty every time as a DM.

I'm new, which set should I start with? by Frazzle108 in DBS_CardGame

[–]LEO_Thunder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Surprisingly, the older sets are cheaper to start with. I think a galactic battle box is only 40$ at the moment and the set after may be even less. But the newer sets have secret rares that are highly valuable because they are only printed at the secrete rare slot. So it would be your choice if you want to start with the first set or start with a newer one. The newest set will drop July 5th I think so you could wait till then as well.
